I did! The very first thing we did was get milkshakes and then go to Perkins in honor of my dad, since that was one of his favorites. I made sure to get most of my favorites in, but a lot of things have changed...like...no chicken broccoli alfredo at Applebees anymore. And I got some things and mailed a box home to myself last week. I managed to get girl scout cookies, too!

Looks like there is a good chance that the Disneyland Railroad will be running for my Labor Day - Birthday vacation to Disneyland. My friend Annette, and her daughter are all excited for our trip. However, Annette doesn't scour the internet for updates, or she would not have asked me yesterday, if Star Wars Land will be ready for our trip. I guess the Guardians of the Galaxy in DCA will be.

There have been years where I already have seeds sprouted, and annuals planted in my yard. Both front and back yards, actually. Not this year. 40 degrees just does not call me outside to do any yard work at all.

I wish we had more time in my Alaska trip in Juneau, the top of the mountain trail for example (it was raining )

Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boys were at school and my dh has been sleeping all day it's amazing how much I got done including making enough waffles and pancakes to have enough to freeze for later use

Yesterday day hubby and I had a day of fun. We spent the morning at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. We had a lot of fun looking at all the blooming plants. We went specifically to see the tulips but also walked a couple of trails as well. The arboretum plants over 32,000 tulip bulbs in the fall, so we were really looking forward to the spring bloom. We were not disappointed. Here are a few pictures of the beauty we saw.

My parakeets are too quiet today. I hope they are not getting sick. This crazy weather makes it really hard to keep the house temperature at the right place for the birds. My husband just turned on the heat in the middle of the day. I miss the racket that these two birds usually make.

Unless it was a meet and greet with the real guy who plays Starlord in the movies! Throughout the whole movie, I kept thinking that Chris Pratt should play Indiana Jones in any new movies. He would be perfect in the role.

We have loads of weeds growing but it is too cold to spend anytime weeding. It will be a cool Mother's Day weekend here.
