Not sure if this is possible (and I don't know how far away your doctor's office is), but is there any way that you could just go there, and talk to the person at the reception desk, and make an appointment? Sometimes when doctor's offices are so busy that the staff can't get to every phone call, it's necessary to just walk in there and make an appointment in person.

Also, sometimes you can get lucky, and there might be a cancellation that day that you could get. It's not right that you can't get through on the phone for over a day now, and I was just thinking that you may get quicker service (even just to make an appt. for next available day/time), if you could go to his office today.

One of our work benefits now is a telemedicine service: Live Health Online provides a convenient way to see a physician for minor medical symptoms without an appointment or an in-person office visit. I haven't used it yet, but it sounds pretty cool.

Sympathy like. What do you bring? "Here kids, have some carrot sticks." My son wouldn't be able to bring anything. He doesn't like fruit. There is really nothing he'd be able to bring here. We have to bring stuff without pork products in them because we have a large Muslim population.

I think we've brought fruit or veggies and dip. But aside from healthy, there are all the allergies to consider as well.

I don't have a problem with the HP adults only party, it's the 350 per person that gets me. For that price I want a nice night at a hotel within staggering distance! BTW I plan on wearing a deathly hallows chain while over at UNI. My dh does a very bad job of hiding Christmas presents so shhhh I act surprised when I get it. He should know by now I'll see it if it's put someplace I clean.

I have a time turner necklace. And a marauders map t-shirt with color changing footprints in the sunlight. And a t-shirt with the "I solemnly swear" line. And I wear my Ravenclaw hoodie almost everywhere. I want one of the DH necklaces, too, though. Good hubby for getting you one!

Although he's feelin' it this mornin' , the recovery is goin' well, so far.

That does sound very cool. I have my doc's wife's cell # for emergencies. We've known them forever and I'd never ever call late or early (regular people early not my type of early) I wish all doctors were that caring!

The rain is really going along with some really loud bangs! It's going to go to go on and off until Joaquin is supposed to get here. I have enough propane and kerosene to get me through a week if needed. This is one time I'm really happy I keep certain things stocked up. I sure hope none of the supplies including glow stix and batteries won't be needed. Charging hand held video games, portable DVD players and tablets as we chat! Good luck!

I just wanted to share a great pic of one of our doggies taken by the doggie camp they go to when we're on vacation (and included in their newsletter). He's the red & white one (in front of the guy with the man bun ). I think our other dog is the one on the left - I guess she was camera shy! Plus the other dog is so cute, too!
