Well, kinda can't get to class without a car. It's either that or live on campus. Car is actually cheaper. And given that I'm not currently working (I'm trying. Not working out so far), I either need help or I drop out of school.

I'm actually getting a nicer car than my current one. Heated seat actually works, all the windows roll down, it has a tighter turning radius so it's actually easier to park (ironically), but it has no sun roof and I feel like I have to really step on it to get it to go faster. Not to mention when it snows, I'll have to get a stool just to reach the roof.

So not thrilled. Mourning my first car. But it'll get me to school. Someday, I want a Camaro
you really need that speed?? :|

and I bet that v8 was a gass guzzler.

Just because I was fortunate enough to not get myself pregnant is no reason to attempt to discredit my vomit free record. Morning sickness is a self imposed illness and doesn't get sympathy points. Labor pains are the same thing. I had two children and never felt a thing. Mind over matter!
I so hope we can co-ordinate Disney trips some time.
You have got to meet my husband. He likes to tell people how he did all the work in the delivery room. :)

I can't drive SUV's either.
Before the Buick, Hubby had a Ford Freestyle - not even a full-fledged SUV, but too big for me nonetheless.

He makes fun of me, says I like to drive "with roller skates on my butt", ie-low cars.

My dad had a Camaro. He sold it just before I got my licence. By then, we had a Pontiac Parisienne - a great big, huge, giant BOAT!

FYI - If memory serves, the Camaro was a gas hog too.
It's not that I can't drive them; it's more that I don't like to. I know how; three months after I started learning how to drive, my mom pulled up in her SUV, got out and said, "You're driving." I had to take the driving test in the SUV. It was convenient for one (my dad still had my car), plus even back then, it had a bad sensor and would tell you that the engine coolant is low. Down here, you can't have any alerts on during your driving test or you automatically fail.
But I still don't like feeling like it could tip over. I think the fact that I had an accident in it doesn't help (even though it wasn't my fault and the way I maneuvered it prevented it from being totaled). Even today I drove it and I was like, "Don't tip over".

But as bad as my mom's SUV is, the Buick is 10x worse. But I still want to learn how to drive it so that I can drive it on vacation.

The Piggly Wiggly still there in Hilton Head?
Nope. It's a Kroger's now. And it's 100x nicer.

They also demolished the mall, save one store, and they were building a new shopping center back there. Most of it is supposed to be open this summer. The whole thing looks completely different.

What kind of Buick?

I can drive SUV's and big a** pick-up trucks; just not comfortably.
And Hubby's Lacrosse just feels sooooo heavy.

so.. you will finally upgrade to "soccer mom" ? :hilarious:
Yeah, pretty much. Minus the kids.

I take back roads to school, so it handles very well on those back roads, especially since I routinely go above 45 back there. It also has nice pickup, meaning I can get up to speed on the highway very easily.

So no, I don't need it, but I like it. As far as gas guzzling, not nearly as bad as the SUV.

Enclave. It is also an SUV. And it's huge; even has third row seating. Thank goodness for the backup cam, otherwise I'd never go near that thing. They got it mostly for traveling. They bought it and within a few months, we made the trip to SC twice round trip and once down to Williamsburg. My dad got sick of the Aurora (my car) and handed it down to me. He thought he would drive the Enclave for about 6 months to a year. That turned into more like 2 1/2 years. My mom's SUV is an Oldsmobile Bravada.

I think they might be getting the Lacrosse next. I know they are getting another Buick, and I know they were considering the Lacrosse. I think my dad is now in the habit of driving bigger cars.

Greetings everyone!
After dealing with blizzards and some very upsetting life changes I haven't been able to post. Hope everyone is well and staying warm. Hopefully, spring will come sooner than later.

The Lacrosse was designed/engineered for big people like Shaq and Hubby ... not so much for JenniferS and StarWarsGirl95.
It doesn't matter how many times and how many things I adjust, it just doesn't fit right.
