Ugh. Governor just held a press conference. They are going to have limited public transportation tomorrow which means that I'll probably have to go in tomorrow (at least, they'll expect me and all others to be late). It will mean that all trains will be packed and behind schedule, and the buses (for the routes they can get up) will be a carp shoot with the road conditions. Not all roads have been completely plowed yet, even in the larger cities here, and with the wide snowbanks on the ones that have been plowed, it makes it very difficult for traffic to pass through. Tomorrow will be a commuting nightmare. :(

Perhaps they'll theme part of Alani to this if it does as well as Frozen? Interesting they are having an open casting call for the lead character.

Oy. Feel better. How was the asthma in Florida?
Other than the one night when I was down at the hot tub and someone started smoking a homemade cigar near me (that made me react very badly), great. I had to carry my nebulizer with me in AK just in case (would have gone to first aid and asked for a plug if I had needed it) but never needed to use it. Steroids and a few nebs cleared that up, even though I initially reacted severely. The rest of the trip the asthma was great, though.

I really miss Florida. I swear that part of my problem is MD.

Had my first class at the other college today. It's fine for one class, but I chose the right college. Just needed to go to another college for one day to realize that.

Also, I swear the worst drivers in the state congregate around that college. :grumpy:

The Latin word for left is sinister, indicating that the notion of left-handedness being evil has existed for centuries.
I remember my Gr. 8 teacher telling us that ancient troops used to march to the chant, "dexter, sinister, dexter, sinister" - meaning "left, right, left, right".

Mind you, these are almost 35 year old memories, so feel free to correct me.
You know me.. I hate to be picky, but, if they were saying left, right, left, right wouldn't the chant be sinister, dexter, sinister, dexter?:angelic:

Oh, and in case anyone was following the thread about Disney removing all of their prizes from their arcades...

So far, nothing has been done. The only arcade where I saw claw machines are completely gone is Pizza Planet, minus a claw machine that's prizes are candy. But there were other machines with prizes. All other arcades (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Space Mountain, Disney Quest, and the arcade at Fantasia Gardens) all had claw machines/other prize machine. Contemporary and Beach Club are still dispensing tickets for prize redemption (BC has a machine where you can redeem tickets for prizes). Boardwalk and AK both have their games operating as normal

However, after talking to CMs running the arcades, prizes are slated to be removed. There isn't a timeline, though. Disney might be waiting to see what happens with the cases against Chuck E. Cheeses and others before going forward. CMs also said that game cards are staying. Only games I noticed that are missing now are ones that are basically gambling. At least with the one game, I had the strategy figured out so there was one trip I ended up with 5,000 tickets, but some of them were pure gambling. So that makes sense that Disney removed them.
I have a lot of Disney plushes from when the arcades had nice prizes. Then they went to giving away stuff from Oriental Trading Co. (The same stuff that our school PTO uses for their carnival.) The past few trips we haven't been in the arcade as much.

I've gotten some nice stuff from them. There was one trip where the people in line in front of us in line to redeem prizes who had a ton of tickets. They got enough prizes to fill a suitcase and still had several thousand tickets left over, which they then handed to us. It was great. I got a lava lamp, several stuffed animals, the works. I've got so much stuff that was from the arcades. I was very sad to learn they were taking away the prizes. I went to Contemporary to redeem the remainder of my tickets. Got a Stormtrooper bobblehead.

I chose not to know what I was having. I wanted the surprise. The surprise of 9# boy the first round with zero drugs was enough for a long while. 5 years later was the DD. We both agreed early on with 3 children. Between a boy a girl, and the girl being in the NIC Unit I was DONE! I hate family names. My BIL is stuck with Albert. My MIL was so ticked when he had a son and they didn't stick with that. My DH showed interest in my DS being named after him which I was OK with just so he was called something else. My DH had the most popular boy name for decades so it was acceptable but I was not willing to have two people in the house ignoring me cause they thought I was talking to the other. We went with a another name. My DD was named by my son. He was in love with a little girl by that name in Daycare.

Hahaaa...!
Oldest DD named youngest DD. We conveniently left out one of the two middle names she wanted for her, though..."Rock-a-bye Baby"...!!! :joyfull: :hilarious: :)
