Dear Lord, there are now College Scholarships for Video Gamers. And we wonder why our students struggle to keep up with China and India.

Ha! Although, I suppose there is another side of that, too. From what I've heard, some of these kids are really brilliant with their understanding of computer programs, etc., goes well beyond playing video games.

Thanks for the update. I kinda understand both sides of this. Kids are so gullible. Disney doesn't need the aggravation of the legal woes. They can use the extra space in Pizza Planet.

When my kids were small and the Contemporary had that amazing arcade we'd take them there during a rain delay at the Magic Kingdom. They were in their glory.

That was a fun arcade at the Contemporary . . . for adults, too!! :p

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I heard stories from you and others about the left-hand thing and nuns. However, I had 8 years of parochial school and never saw any evidence of that. My best friend there was left-handed, and it was never pointed out by any of the nuns for the 8 years she was there. (Maybe all the nuns there were also left handed?? o_O :D)
The Latin word for left is sinister, indicating that the notion of left-handedness being evil has existed for centuries.
I remember my Gr. 8 teacher telling us that ancient troops used to march to the chant, "dexter, sinister, dexter, sinister" - meaning "left, right, left, right".

Mind you, these are almost 35 year old memories, so feel free to correct me.

Ehhhhh, snow storm is kind of a bust. Woke up and shoveled a path for the dog which took 30 minutes. Snow drifts are 3 feet high in some spots and then some spots barely have anything because of the wind. TF Green (airport) has about 10.5 inches of snow and since we always get more, I say we have a foot or a little more with more to come.

Meanwhile, in Maryland, there is one inch of snow on the ground, which meant a 2 hour delay for schools.

I came down to campus expecting to have my first class start late only to find out it was canceled. :grumpy: Oh well. Time to get back in the car and drive to the other campus. On the bright side, I did get a muffin over here for breakfast since there is nothing but milk and cereal in the house and my asthma's bad again, so I can't have that.

Oy. Feel better. How was the asthma in Florida?

I view that as good news being the snow hater that I am.

I thought you were nearer to @MinnieM123 the news says that area is getting lots and lots of snow over the foot New York (minus Long Island) is getting.

I'm pretty sure the man upstairs has an awesome sense of humor too. For months after my daughter was born my ex would say he really wanted a boy but got a girl. Well when he knocked his little mistress up he got....another girl. :joyfull: Yep, I hope God does high fives because I got one for him.

Ha! I love fate. :hilarious: My Mom said my Dad wanted a son, she too thought the Man upstairs intervened believing he would not be a great role model for a ManChild.

I live where a thin band of snow decided to just hang out all night, we ended up with about 4 inches. School was canceled today because of it. This snow was really strange, only a few miles away only about an inch fell.

I know; I'd be starving too. My "diets" usually consist of cutting out carbs and sweets.

I don't go by the number on the scale. I go by how my clothes fit. With my body type, when I exercise, I gain weight because I'm all muscle. And I weigh more than most people of my height because I'm all muscle. My doctor says I don't need to do much besides not eat too many sweets. He's right.

I do lose 10-20 pounds every time I go to Disney.

See that is me at the age I am. I'm not into building more muscle but I do things to raise my heart rate like brisk walks with the Pup and riding my bike when the weather is nice. I try hard not to sit on my tushie too much.

I understand loosing weight at Disney. It is a lot of walking and little sedentary time.

Havin' to post from my phone 'cause the office Internet went down yesterday afternoon and still isn't back up.
One of the youngsters in the office was kinda' uptight... "What am I going to do during lunch?!" I suggested she might read the newspaper. She said "Oh yea. I never thought of that!". :hilarious: ;) :)
