The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
So I lied. It's 96 questions, you have to get 58 right to pass...haha. I'm sorry, I tried others but they were just too easy (I kept getting them all right).

Anyway, I only got 2 wrong.
While I clearly got more than 2 wrong, I still scored slightly higher than the average 'Murican.
I blame/credit access to U.S. television.

Not having to worry too much about taxes up until this point, I was oblivious to this tax for a long time

When I found out, I think my face was like that bear's.

I think the waitress at SciFi thought I was my brother's mother because when we got the check, she said something about hand this to Mom. I haven't decided how I feel about that....

Hope you all are having a great day and that it's not too cold...

Well was the shake as good as Prime Time?

I had that moment when a middle aged man called me Ma'am when I was buying a bottle of wine. I was 23. :cautious:

EMH at Epcot. Woot. As for that cold, I hate you. ;) Have fun.

Parents went to have a nice quiet dinner themselves at Yachtsman. Originally, we weren't going to get down here until this evening because my parents didn't want my brother to miss school. They had a half day today and flights ended up being so much cheaper that we flew out this morning instead. So my brother and I got an ADR at Scifi. I had the pasta with chicken, marinara, and parmesian cheese. It was good. The best part, however, was this:

Sadly, it is now deceased. :D

Fairly successful day, except for breakdown problems. RnRC broke down while we were in line. A nice CM issued us reentry passes that we can use for the rest of the trip since we had been unable to use the DAS time. Went on TofT twice; the second time one shaft broke down, increasing the wait time (yes, you all warned me about those elevators...) TSM once (I won. It's always a battle between me and my mother on that, but I was victorious today), and Star Tours once with my parents, twice without them.

Parents are still at dinner. We are back at the room chilling for a few, but will head to Epcot for EMH in a few. Just needed more coats, less bags.

Hope you all are having a great day and that it's not too cold...
RIP delicious milkshake!

I avoid the shakes at Prime Time because of that peanut butter one. So I can't compare. But Oreo cookie milkshake? Delicious in my book.

We only made it until about 10 or so. Managed to do Spaceship Earth (which is in sorry shape FYI), Seas with Nemo, Living with the Land, and Soarin'.

And apparently, my body has had enough abuse because all of the sudden I wanted a salad, so I got one at Seasons and brought it back. It also is deceased...minus the tomatoes.

speaking of random stuff.

Remember my rant about the bots/thiefs commenting non stop on my sales in ebay and the mexican ebay equivalent? (aka some guys trying to defraud me)

I have been playing along with this one just to get information of them.

Interestingly, they all have the same writing style (clearly a programmed bot), but they keep changing the mailing address of where to ship the goods.
This time its a ghetto in Illinois (semi vacant lot full of what seems low income mobile homes and apartments)

The hilarity is: This guy is clearly from the US and should speak english. Yet insists in "speaking" broken spanish by using google translate.

So I suspect its a band to defraud mercadolibre's vendors(Mexico's ebay equivalent).
Since the products will be moved elsewhere and the money will never be deposited... they have no possibility to complain or accuse the defrauders of a crime .

Anyway, I'm going to try to bait him to throw his ID with photo.

@MinnieM123 I don't care what you say; this time of morning is not peaceful! ;)

I took your comment under advisement, and ran it past my consultant, Jack. He, as a dog, and I, as his human, both respectfully disagree. It is quiet now, and we're enjoying our time here, while I drink coffee and play merrily on the computer, and he plays with one of his (many) toys that he dragged up here. We are both quite content and think you should give early mornings another try!!

But you have to remember wages vary greatly from state to state and region to region.

Texas Average Mean Wage is $15.81 and Annual Mean Wage is $44,400

MA Average Mean Wage is $21.07 and Annual Mean Wage is $56,410

Costs vary and even things like housing costs and property taxes are worlds apart in cost by areas.

That's true and thank you for pointing that out. I think sometimes I get into a single mindset--I hear about different prices, and tend not to think it through. (Minnie World isn't always right . . . surprising, I know . . .)

So I got off the plane today, got on a bus, and then was wandering around. I found this really old creapy hotel. It has vacancy. I dunno, what do you all think?

I'll bet they even put a mint on your pillow at nightly turndown service!! :p

What actually caught my eye about the picture were all the people wearing (light) jackets. When I've gone in late spring, I'm sweating from the heat. Those people in the picture look so comfortable. I wish it was like that when I usually go there.
