Ohana for Breakfast?

Personally I am not a huge fan of character meals for breakfast. The menus tend to be incredibly generic with only one or two interesting things tossed in. The price of course does not reflect this.

The breakfast at Kona is incredible with a few items available no where else on property. I highly recommend the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes and the kona press pot is some of the best coffee you will find on the planet.

I totally agree the Kona Café pineapple macadamia pancakes or Tonga toast are great. Save the character meals for lunch or dinner.

We think its a great meal...best eggs we have had!!! Found the rotation of the charcater to a bit slow compared to other places but we really enjoyed the food. Its family style so you dont have to get up...they will bring you more of anything you want. I think we will going back on our next trip!

while its a fun breakfast for the kids, the food is rather blah and very limited menu. Definitely go to kona instead or a different character breakfast with a buffet, much better food and offerings

I think it depends on group tastes + why you're going. I looked at Kona's breakfast menu and LOVED the looks of it :slurp:- however, DH hates all nuts and pineapple and when I tried to sway him with the description of Tonga Toast- well, he was repulsed more than anything. :brick:He doesn't know yet that I've booked 'Ohana for breakfast, but I made the consolation b/c it's our farewell breakfast, he is a big Stitch fan, and it's one last Mickey moment for our girls this trip before we hop a plane back to TX.

This is one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had at WDW!
The food was great, the characters were great, & the service was great!
I would definitely recommend it!

My DW and I took our nephew and we all loved it. We also love Kona. The food at both places is great. It is really up to you if your kids really want to see the characters or not.

we ate here this summer and really enjoyed it, but like others said the food is pretty generic not at all worth the money. However we did have an excellent character interaction when my wife asked Pluto if she could scratch him behind the ear. He shook his leg and ended up giving her a big kiss (including a nice loud slurp sound which none of us were expecting.) As for the other characters..well they were like the food pretty generic. Stop at the table take a few pics and sign your autograph book. Didn't get much interaction out of them at all even though we had a few questions and comments ready.

We just had some family return from the World a couple of weeks ago. One of their favorite meals was breakfast at O'Hanas!

We were very disappointed with the Ohana breakfast last year. We knew it was family style but the food was just not good... cold and hard Mickey waffles, cold eggs and service was not good. Characters took alot longer to get around here as compared to the others. I would say Kona Cafe (Yum!!!) as mentioned and either Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace for character breakfast.

Maybe it was an off day... but it was soo off we will not try it again for breakfast.

Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
Only second to Crystal Palace and possibly tied with Chef Mickeys!!!

Keep in mind im yet to go to Kona and Whispering Canyon

Like 'Ohana very much for breakfast ans will be dining there again in just over a months time!!! One of the things that appeals to be so much about this breakfast is that is in not a buffet! Food is good and plentiful!
