Anyone have any further reviews on this place? I read the reviews and most people raved about the beer. We dont drink. Can anyone offer up some tips? We wanna try SOME new places when we make our return in a few short 250 days!

After a recommendation from SweetMagic I went on my last trip. I don't drink beer, that was a mute point for me. However, I had the BEST burger I have ever had at WDW there. I highly recommend the place and will be back myself.

Ive been to two of them. One while traveling on the job and the one at the Boardwalk.

I love the one i visited elsewhere but i hated the one at the Boardwalk. I found the menu disappointing and the beer overpriced. It seemed like you're average restaurant to me - Nothing special at all.

It seemed average to me as well; we didn't get beer, either. Part of the reason it may have seemed average was because it was in a temporary location during a refurbishment and we went during off hours, so we were literally the only guests there. Some may like that, but I thought it lacked ambience because of this. I'm generally underwhelmed by the food at WDW, so I am banking on top notch ambience.

If you haven't tried Flying Fish or that Kouzzina, I'd try those first.

...yeah, this review probably isn't that helpful to you...

I've eaten there twice, I don't drink either, and both times left with an "eh" opinion. Not bad food by any means, but not super spectacular. I actually like the food at ESPN Club a lot more (their turkey and brie sandwich is excellent).

The Big River Grille is a nice option, but it's not a place that you should go out of your way.

The fam doesn't drink, but we went there during August while we were on the dining plan. . my parents had gone a couple of years before and loved it. On our trip, however, it was just okay. My sister, not a huge fan of beef, got a pasta dish that she absolutely hated. Parents weren't thrilled.. I'm not hugely picky, but it wasn't the best. Dessert was fantastic, though. =)

Yeah the one thing that stood out was the dessert...That and the Strip and Shrimp!

As long as a restaurant has a solid dessert and an acceptable steak, I will be content. And I was content, just not awed ;)

Oh the food is awesome and the beer is even better. I live in a place where Micro Brewery's line the streets and are hot spots at night and I must say it could go head to head with some of my favorites. If your a beer fan I would highly suggest you giving it a shot. BTW the Hazelnut crusted Mahi Mahi was good and the Asiago Artichoke & Crab Dip is a must everytime.

I'd say if you like frozen food and stale potato chips- go for it. I think there are far better places to try, I'm not a fan of big river at all. The beer may be good (I don't drink so I can't comment on that) but the food and service were bad on both occassions we ate there. I really think they rest on their laurels because they have a constant stream of conventioners and people who want to sit outside on the boardwalk to eat, they don't need repeat business to survive.

I've also been to both, and the one in TN is much better! I eat at that one at least once a year; I have a membership, so have a permanent ADR. I also get my growlers filled every visit.

The chips aren't stale, they are kettle cooked.

I think it's a fine place to go for lunch, but the beer really is the main draw. I don't know that I would ever choose it if I did not drink.

We ate there a last week...I really enjoyed it. I do enjoy a good beer and was not disappointed with their selection, but since you guys don't drink, that's clearly not something you guys will be interested in.

In the last year, during our trip in March and this past Christmas trip, we have gone to Big River and were all very happy with the meal. I'll echo the thoughts of a previous poster and say I had one of the best burgers at Big River...ordered it both times we ate there. Wife had pasta and was very pleased with her meal as well.

I'll likely make this a regular stop anytime I'm at WDW

The DWF and I ate there two years ago and felt it was very comparable to TGI Fridays/Ruby Tuesdays/Applebee's. It was good not great and to me a long as the beer is Landshark Lager or a cold Samuel Adams then I am completely happy. Now three years ago they had us eat at tables outside in front and I enjoyed wathing the fireworks from EPCOT. Will I go back there, yes, but more for lunch and I consider this place my fall back when my reservations for dinner fall apart which has happened once or twice.

I don't drink beer either, but we ate there last october b/c you can walk up and put your name in. We thought the food was good. My Mom had a really good fish sandwhich, I don't like fish and thought it was good. We enjoyed it although it was crowded and i felt smooshed in the corner, if the weathers nice and you can snag an outside table I think it's a better dining atmosphere. I think the food was alot better than most of the places you'll find in the parks to eat.
