So much for spring like weather... yesterday it was in the 50s and today we were hit with snow! I am in the south and it has been many years since I have seen flakes come down like this so you guys up north are probably in for it! The winds are horrible too on top of it so everyone stay safe and warm. :)

Thankfully the current indications are that it will be far enough East to almost completely miss Buffalo. We might get a flurry or two, but that's about it. Finally, a bit of good news for us here regarding snow.

We got hit with it yesterday - about 7 inches in mid-Missouri. Very sunny today to melt everything on the streets. I am glad I am not in New England. Up to a foot in some places! Flurries are too much for me.

Today in NY!! We're expecting 8-10 inches, and no school! And it couldn't have been timed any better (Spirit Week... I only say that because I have no disco attire...)

The winds are insane! I took the kids out a little bit ago cause they never get to play in snow anymore. We just get the cold.. anyway it was so bad you could not stand it, we looked like the Yeti the way it was blowing snow in our faces! We have about 4 inches and it is still coming down. Cannot believe I had on my beloved flip-flops yesterday. :dazzle:

We had about 3 inches here in Birmingham. The snow stopped by noon, and was mostly melted by sundown. It was quite pretty coming down, though!

We got about 3 or 4 inches here on the southwest side of Atlanta. They've already called off school in this area for tomorrow because the wet roads will freeze over night. It was pretty awesome, haven't had a good snowstorm down here for a while.

It just started snowing here in Connecticut within the last hour. We're expecting somewhere between 8 and 14 inches here--not a huge storm by our standards, but enough to shut down schools and some businesses. The most aggrevating part is that the most of the school boards around here refuse to announce a cancellation until 5:30 AM at the earliest. So even though I work at home, I have to get up extra early to find out whether I have to clear the driveway and wake up the kids for a delayed opening. In other words, I have to get up earlier than normal to find out I could have slept in. Don't you love bureaucrats?

When temps were in the 60's here on Thursday, I thought we were done with winter. Guess again. Retirement is definitely in Florida.

That's so pretty. My camera batteries were dead so I didn't get to take a picture. Were those not the biggest snowflakes falling??? We ended up with about 4 1/2 inches. The sun is out now but it is still too cold to melt it. My poor little Easter flowers are buried under it! I am crossing my fingers that spring is now on it's way. :D

Hey Dorma, I guess Pedricktown and the surrounding areas got some of the white stuff! Was it bad enough to close Penns Grove High? :)

Not only did the high school get closed, but the whole county---and they made the decision last night. My kids went to bed last night knowing they had no school!

Hi, Dorma! We have about 6" here (north Jersey), and it's still coming down. My kids were notified last night, too (yeah!). We all slept in!

Lucky---I wanted to sleep in but one of my husband's commuting buddies called at 4 am to say he was not going into work---shocking! I had our CBS channel on about an hour ago and they said there is a third pocket of snow in VA heading this way, but they do not expect too much from it.

Good, because I just got done shovelling!
