Snow White may luck out since there hasn’t been a big family release in a while. Could imagine it overperforming on that basis, but it’s also believable that families may not want to spend the $$$ to see it in theaters. Feels like a good test to see how big budget family fare does outside of holidays and summer.

My sense is if Snow White does poorly/meh, the likelihood of Stitch doing big numbers in May goes up considerably.
The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie will be released next week and it's fantastic.

Next week…. Wow… I had no idea…and I go to the theater weekly and keep up with the release schedule….WB must of done awful on promotion

There's a bank of 3 posters for it in our nearest AMC, but I've literally never seen a trailer* for it -- granted I haven't seen Paddington or Dog Man in theaters. On YT, it looks like it's gotten 5m views in 2 weeks. By contrast, Mickey 17 (also WB) has gotten 22m for its 2nd trailer released 6 weeks ago.

*20th Century's The Amateur, on the other hand... Man, we get a trailer for that before nearly every movie regardless of genre. Not that that's translated to online views at all -- only 11m in 16 weeks.

I saw exactly one trailer for it about a month ago…. But I had assumed it was far off… as it felt like a teaser as opposed to a full trailer

I have not seen it yet, but I am rooting for Mickey 17….It would be great if big studios would take more chances on original

The book is Mickey 7 but I guess that wasn’t enough gruesome deaths for a movie 🤣

The movie has been pushed back a number of times, as it was originally a streaming exclusive movie, so doubt many know its actually being released next week here in the US. There has also been very little actual advertisement for it, as its not being released by WB but Ketchup (as WB gave up the distribution rights last year), so that may have something to do with it. And from what I see its also not getting a whole lot of showings overall, so it'll be interesting to see what it does.

Its also already had its international run, which did very little. So this isn't expected to be a huge movie.

As I mentioned above, its not being released by WB, its being released by Ketchup Entertainment. Which is probably why there isn't a whole lot of advertisement for it, as Ketchup is an independent distributor.

I’ll do anything to make stitch a success. If it means boycotting Snow White then “so mote it be”

I can see Snow White doing $400-500 million, but not more in my opinion.
And all things considered I think while a disappointing number compared to its budget, it would be acceptable overall.

Though personally I see it doing a bit more myself, a huge range but I think somewhere between $500-$700M WW is not out of the question.

I don't think Stitch will need any help to be a success, I'm sure it'll do fine as it has a lot of nostalgia behind it.
I hope so. My family won’t be seeing Snow White in theaters because my mom does not like the way it looks. At all. I was just illustrating how much I want stitch to be a success.

I know math is hard for you so let me break this down for you.

Gutfeld! (Fox News): 3,497,000 viewers | 308,000 in the key demo - only 8%
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS): 2,376,000 viewers | 239,000 in the key demo - 10%
Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC): 1,946,000 viewers | 212,000 in the key demo - 10 %
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC): 1,229,000 viewers | 188,000 in the key demo - 15%

So of the "key" demographic your buddy Gutfeld gets LESS percentage wise than the others. Meaning that the other shows are MORE popular with the younger demographic than Gutfeld when comparing their overall viewership numbers. Which again means that Gutfeld skews older with 92% of its viewers.

Tell me you don't know how advertising works without telling me. ;)

Gutfeld! has the most viewers in the 18-49 demo of any other late night talk show (on the three free networks), which means Gutfeld! can charge more for advertising, which makes Gutfeld! more profitable for its network (Fox News). Which, because this is a Capitalist society, means Gutfeld is the most successful (because it's the most watched) late night talk show.

Funny, the article you just posted proves my point, how Fox News ranks number 11 among 18-49, ie the network skews older for its general viewers being that its only getting 8% from the 18-49 crowd out of its total viewership -

And my bet is that goes back down in 2025, it being a non-election year. Because you can look at just the year prior in 2023 and see it was even lower -

Like I said, Fox News has the most young viewers of any other cable news network. It's a cable news network, not The Cartoon Channel for kids.

Fox News is the highest rated cable news network for all demographics, actually. By a long shot. Which also means their advertising rates are higher, and more profitable for its corporate ownership.

Is it just me, or are we all getting those long Rachel Zegler's Snow White trailers every time we log on to YouTube now?

Here's the Box Office for yesterday, previewing how things will likely shake out this 4th weekend of Captain America in theaters. A sci-fi flick called Mickey 17, which is not related to the mouse, did fairly well in previews last night.

How many more weeks until Rachel Zegler's Snow White hits theaters?!? Have a great weekend, gang!

And tell me you don't understand advertising without telling me -

308,000 in the key 18-49 demo, 308K!!!!

This isn't Millions of viewers which is what advertisers are looking for, this is hundreds of thousands in that demo. There are no major ad buys going on here for the 18-49 demo, and really the same can be said for any late night show which is understandable. Sorry, its just not happening as they wouldn't get a return on investment here.

They are doing ad buys for the over 50 crowd, which is their core demographic. Yay you're getting targeted advertising to your age bracket!!!
