Thank you. Personally I’d prefer to keep a refurbished Dinosaur as well as what else is proposed. IP infusion is a given with Iger but at least there will be a modest overall increase in park capacity. The theme suggests a mysterious but romantic jungle environment and DAK is jungle so that ticks a spreadsheet box too.
As things stand I think the new build will be well received apart from having paid fastpass (Which in itself is a huge incentive to build it)
I don’t disagree - the model and details that we have seen look like this new land will go really well with the rest of the park. I’m not sure if Joe was consulted on this or not, but it feels like he was. Compared to all of the other expansions (tron, Epcot, cars at mk) this looks like a completely natural fit.Of course. Tropical Americas is certainly a net gain even without a new-build e-ticket.

My only side note is - there was a time that Dino-Rama wasn’t too bad - the carnival games and rides set the scene but the entire land when it was properly staffed with jugglers, lucky the Dino, etc. worked pretty well.
If we could have gotten an all ages dinosaur fun house style dark ride to replace primeval whirl and some better carnival games that felt more on brand - the land had some lovely potential as being very fun and quirky.
Or citizens of Hollywood style Chester and Hester Characters. They did that a little bit with Lucky the Dino - and later with a modified version of Flights of Wonder cast members.I was thinking if they had a second dark ride attraction during that time that played into the characters or Chester and Hester and the whole backstory of why there is a giant carnival
I don't think the popcorn was a tease.Between this and a classic @marni1971 tease, hoping for the best.
It’ll all come out in the wash. That’s not a hint either!
I do hope we get a final holiday season. The decor in dinoland is so much fun.

It was “Guano Joe” from the bird show and one of the bird handlers presenting birds related to dinosaurs and similar characteristics. I only saw it one time, not sure how long it lasted. It was like a street show type thing.Ooh, I've never heard of this modified Flights of Wonder thing; what was that? Was it related to Chester and Hester's meetable versions?
And the meteor whizzes ever closerPermits filed for three trailers behind Dinosaur.

Dinoland as a whole going out with a "Countdown to Extinction" themed party/celebration of what was would have been a pretty fun little last nod to everything. I hope we could maybe see some references to Dinoland in the new land. Maybe some newspaper clippings of Indiana being hired by the "Dino Institute" for work nearby. Maybe a version of the Boneyard opening up in South America, technically South America is a pretty frequent place to find fossils iirc. When they announce the closure of Dino Land USA, it would be a major missed opportunity if they don't say "experience Dino Land USA before it goes extinct"
I would expect the meets (or at least the character budget) to be moved elsewhere around the park. What I don't see anyone bringing up is Dino-Bash; I'm hoping a desire to keep the meets running as long as possible leads to them preserving a chunk of Route 498 and the Cretacous Trail until the second phase of closing, which would mean more decorated areas.
The shorter hours aren't anything to do with animal well-being. So hopefully longer hours return like pre-COVID.So will this transformation to tropical America land allow animal kingdom late? Or will it still close early because of the animals well-being?
If anything on the model I think access to Dinosaur/Indy looks more hidden/forested away.Hoping the Indians Jones temple is visible from the fountain plaza as I’ve always felt Dinosaur was hurt by visibility or lack thereof. The red temple should draw the eye more at least.
The new area is being designed to operate at night but they’ll need to get a nighttime show up and running to actually operate after dark (outside of December).
Can we move Triceratop Spin over to Toy Story Land as Trixie's Triceratop Spin? Is that too much to ask?
You might have to make a winter trip to see AK at night (5:30p sunset), it is a different experience. Even Everest is quite a different ride at night... you can see a lot better in the mountain without your eyes adjusting from bright Florida sun.So will this transformation to tropical America land allow animal kingdom late? Or will it still close early because of the animals well-being?
I wish I could experience at avatar at night because the photos I see look stunning.
I’ve heard things where people will say it’s because of staffing issues, or Disney executives still view animal kingdom as a half day park, or the other reason is so the animals are properly taken care of and aren’t exposed to people/firework celebrations late at night.
I know zoos are typically only open until 5/6 pm in the United States…so if animal kingdom is viewed as a zoological park then will we essentially never see animal kingdom open late ?
I feel there should be ways to mitigate the impact of human activity/noise, because obviously animal kingdom isn’t built out and there will be more lands/attractions in the future.
But realistically, if you continue to expand animal kingdom how do you justify it only staying open until 6?
