But yes, it’s frustrating there’s been a major project cycle gap. Not talking about the next thing doesn’t make that worse or go away, it actually just magnifies it. I’m happier to have known major things were starting in 2022 as opposed to Chapek was maybe pivoting most investment to streaming as we figured last D23.

I'll be curious what will open first:
Any new major attraction at any USO park (outside of EU opening day roster)
Any new major attraction at any WDW park (outside of TT v3)

The fact that this is a question is kind of insane when Disney gave us concept art for stuff 647 days ago... and Universal is opening a new park next year and opened a re-themed kid land this summer.

Disney will announce a bunch of stuff to open... and Universal will say nothing and then open some brand new attraction in either 2026 or 2027.
Even Tropical America won't open before 2027

After Tiana's official opens in a few days, I believe the only "new" attraction under construction for Disney will be Test Track v3. This is a big problem when a new attraction usually takes Disney about 3 years to build.

Meanwhile at universal... they have a whole theme park opening in 2025 with rumors floating around of a replacement for Rip Ride Rocket, Lost continent, and Simpsons in the same time frame as all the blue sky stuff.

Disney is currently missing the coming in the next 50ish months attractions which makes us obsess over the blue sky stuff.

Could it be for all the rhetoric regarding future projects, that Disney really was not sure of anything being done. Let us not forget, that Disney and Florida just kissed and made up. Due to the uncertainty on when and how the spat would turn out, I would not be surprised to find out all future projects were put on pay no mind list. That is why the upcoming D23 event is so anticipated because hopefully they will go dust off some of the ideas they had put in moth balls.

That's a bummer, I was hoping we were a bit closer to LoZ coming to IoA... especially with so much of Lost Continent now shuttered...

Don’t lose hope. From what I’ve heard, they’re bouncing back and forth…but still want to get SOMETHING in both parks sooner rather than later since they know Epic Universe will be pulling business from the two existing parks…and they know Disney is basically sitting on its hands…

I meant the moment they started releasing their first concept art it stayed with the foundation. Just minor changes happened but nothing big was canceled where we would go back to pictures and dream about it.

That doesn't matter because they never promised it in any official announcements nor did what Disney did with showcasing them at The Epcot Preview Center, made concept art, attraction posters, banners, logos etc

World Celebration and Harmonious advertised Grander making you whoah inside the Epcot Preview Center in 2019. To find the final reality of Celebration Gardens as "meh"

I'll give it to them at least with "The France Expansion" they followed through that one nicely with the concept art even if such things were tweaked.

Yeah people can accuse of that after you wow them with a model (Festival Building) attention grabbing dynamic music upon it 2019 Epcot Preview Center 😑😒

Unlike Epic Universe Preview Center arriving just now, when you can make the verdict to be excited and stoked because what you see on that model is already built ground up proof in pudding bio reconstruct images..ooo aaaah!

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. The issue seems to be you and others just knowing about things. If that’s the problem then stop seeking out the information you don’t want to know.

This is again the problem with taking a weird snapshot in time and arguing these about to open projects have been made ‘quickly’.

OLC began budgeting and indicating to shareholders a major investment cycle for what ultimately became fantasy springs in 2013. Super Nintendo World was announced for Florida in 2016. The latter was actually a straight announcement and hasn’t actually evolved much since.

These were not fast moving projects in the slightest. Both out of external companies people incorrectly attribute to moving quickly.

We’ve had leaks for Orlando Pokémon since 2014 and Zelda since 2016. Let that sink in, those are 15 year long gesticulating projects, If we’re lucky.
