Yes, they look like they could be from The Land pavilion back when it opened in 1982 more than from 1920/30s Louisiana.

Edit: I see from the post above I was not the only person who got that vibe!

Yes, there is something about them that really jumps out. I don't know that I've even seen peppers represented that way before, and they've gone with that on both of the new graphics!

I'm glad you said that, because I kept focusing on those peppers. I don't think I've ever seen a pepper with its head chopped off, laying on its side, with the ribs and seeds attached. Now I've seen it 9 times on 2 posters!

I have a generally good opinion about the ride - but oh boy - why is that yellow so ugly to look at? It decimated the mural! So out of place...

I’m a fan of the yellow, but i am very biased because the inside of my house was painted a similar shade of yellow for my childhood and most of my teenage years.

Kind of puzzling because art deco is not a difficult style to get right.

The crates are filled with empty salt shakers and we all know what’s in those barrels…

“crates of Beignets” was mentioned in early original descriptions of the ride. If the imagineers learned that beignets are loaded up in crates at the salt mound and then sent down river to New Orleans by way of hollowed out logs I’m pretty sure the whole fact-finding mission was spent on Bourbon street lol.
