I don't know what you expect, pretty much everything regarding this retheme has and will continue to be heavily scrutinized.
As it should be. There is definitely room for criticism here. The problem is that it's delegitimized by people making the same jokes every time the words "salt mine" or "co-op" are mentioned. Not that things cant' be lighthearted, but it does take away from thoughtful discussion when the same joke has already been made numerous times already. It adds nothing to the conversation.

As much as I find the salt mine jokes funny, I feel like there's only so many you can make before you eventually run out of material. It's probably the absurdity of changing a hill into a salt mine that's prompted so many of these jokes to begin with.

It can’t escape the comparisons to what came before it. Given its keeping the same core ride track and implicit in their messaging they’re improving on this experience, it shouldn’t escape those comparisons.

If Disney came out today and said they’re updating Raiders of the Lost Ark for modern audiences, people would compare the new one to the older one. It’s only natural. It doesn’t help that what’s been previewed thus far seems silly.

All the moss DOES look good…but every time I see it, I keep thinking of Elwood, Mighty Mack & Buster as they enter Queen Mousette’s compound in “Blues Brothers 2000”…crappy movie (compared to the original), but awesome music!!

Woah,...easy there. That kind of talk doesn't go well around here.

Let's try to keep the forum comments only positive,...please?
Opinions are fine. It’s the reading ideological positions into Disney’s process that I don’t care for.

Also, most attractions have parts that, if considered in isolation, might be less than impressive. But details work together to make cohesive themes.

So judging the entire effort by a few elements before the ride is complete seems silly.

I suppose someone would have to do a count to know for certain, but I would guess that there are significantly more negative comments about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure here than positive ones. The idea that you can’t voice criticism about the ride simply isn’t borne out by the thread itself.

Is this the finished look or has the scaffolding just not made it this far yet?View attachment 752586
That’s the area that was repainted during the last refurbishment prior to Splash Mountain closing. It was done in a slightly different color at that time that better matched Bayou Adventure, but whether or not it will be further altered is unknown. It has thus far remained untouched during the Bayou Adventure conversion.
