That’s pretty much my experience with corned beef, so I usually don’t eat it.Speaking of corned beef, mine came out lousey -- kinda tough. I followed the directions on the packet -- simmer cooked for 2 1/2 hours, carved against the grain, etc. (Hubs powered through it . . .) I dumped mine.
DW is 100% Irish and likes to do the corned beef and cabbage thing. I guess my excuse is that I’m only 25%, so I only eat it some of the time. 
I dunno...I think a fedora might be quite nice. Though not everyone looks good in hats, I suppose....
I think this is exactly why I'm not a beach person. I HATE sand, and I can't tolerate heat. Give me a nice crisp and cool Mountain lake scene any day!!

That would be because you don't really have a true winter where you live. If you did summer might look a little more appealing.

That would work for me... I used to get my fill of those at Dunn's in Montreal. My mouth is watering just typing this. I guess I should shut off the computer and have some breakfast soon.

Not to mention any cat/dog with a flat face like that is going to have problems (that includes Persian cats as pretty as they are). Breathing problems especially. Those breeders should be ashamed of themselves.
I looked up the menu online for Dunn's Montreal. Wow. I would eat there lunch and dinner everyday for a week trying a different item every time.
I love traveling by Amtrack as everything has always been efficient and it's nice to be able to take in the sights. NY to DC at night is beautiful with all the lights

Where did you find such a small corned beef
I was happy to find a small size in the grocery store, as they usually only have bigger ones -- maybe 4-8 pounds in the cryovac packages that they sell. Anyway, I'm baffled as to what went wrong.
