I love songs from the 80's, but if I had to choose just ONE that's my favorite from that particular decade, I think I'd have to go with Tears for Fears' "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".

Now the question to you is, can you pick the ONE (no ties or honorable mentions) song for you that defines the 80's or 80's music in general?

Tears for Fears is a great choice, and I couldn't start to pick a single song, but how about Spandau Ballet, maybe Gold or True? Or Europe, Final Countdown, or Nik Kershaw, Wouldn't It Be Good?

Wham.."Wake me up before you go-go"..LOL.

I loved Spandau Ballet's "True"

I think my favorite is Cyndi Lauper.."Girl's Just Want to Have Fun"..:)

Well, you have many different genre's of 80's music. So that makes it hard for me to narrow it down, hmm...

'Faithfully', by Journey (the most popular slow dance song)
or 'Heart and Soul', by Huey Lewis and the News (that one is from DH)

^^Loving the Toronto skyline avatar. :D

All right, for actual songs... I'd say a tie between B-52's Love Shack and a-ha's Take on Me.

I'd have to go with "Always Something There To Remind Me" by Naked Eyes. That song has the perfect 80's sound with a great pop chorus. Always has been my favorite song of the decade and I've got about 300 songs from the 80's on my computer.
