It´s hard to pick - but I think of Madonna when I remember the 80´s... I was going to 15 year old parties (like sweet sixteen, but for 15) Material girl, Into the Groove, etc., and we were dancing her songs along with........Cindy Lauper´s!!
...and Michael Jackson on his original skin tone! lol
...and Wham, A-Ha, etc etc etc

"Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners (That's not a typo, there's no apostrophe in "Dexys")

OR

"Hip To Be Square" by Huey Lewis & the News

I didn't grow up in the 80s... well I did, but I was only 6 when we entered 1990... but I LOVE 80s music... and it was basically the core of our Spring Break... I'm thinking Quiet Riot - Metal Health... or maybe Cinderella - Gyspy Road...

Oh Meyla Weyla
There is sooo much great music from the 80's....how to pick just one!?! For me I think it's gotta be Journey, Open Arms. Bon Jovi, Livin' On A Prayer comes in a close second too :animwink:

Ok, and I haven't even clicked "Submit Reply" yet and already I'm hearing Steve Perry's voice in my mind...ah geeze...

*opens new web page to go find Journey music*

OH...

And the Karate Kid theme song...

Are you talking about Bananarama's "Cruel Summer"? I love that song...

Of course, I had a crush on Daniel-son's girlfriend, too, at that time... just like he did when that song was played (as he fell down watching her do cheering)... Ahh, memories.

We're not gonna take it...any moooooore.

Seriously, though...it is Don Henley's "Boys of Summer". Always reminds me of college.
