Yeti is indeed being fixed! Update 8/4/2014

I know the difference in the dico yeti believe me! My family has been going to disney nearly every year even before the Mt Everest ride opened and this Yeti was similar to the one when ride opened. The Disco Yeti was way in back with red eyes and strobe light was the only way you could even make out what he was as most of the time you ride you didn't even notice him. But this Yeti looked like the photo I am showing, it was huge and scary and leaning forward with one large arm outstretched towards riders and that arm was moving up and down. I was there second week of Sept on Tues and Friday and yes they could have been testing out the old Yeti and I'm sorry you guys missed it cause it was like old times. My daughter 14 was screaming when we approached it cause she was used to seeing the disco (not scary) version. There may even be a separate track, I don't know what happened but I'm telling you this was not the disco yeti.

The Yeti has not moved or changed since he was put into Disco mode. He has been in the same spot ever since.

When I rode in early October I wondered if they had moved him slightly because he was easier to see - or maybe they improved the lighting. In any event, while there appeared to be movement because of the strobe, there was no actual movement. It was nothing like "A mode" where you want to duck your head going under him!

Disco Yeti is not a seperate figure. It is the same one from opening day. There is also no seperate track. You just need to accept that you fell for the illusion that B Mode was always intended to create.

Well we all ducked! Can anyone tell me then if the pic I showed is the same as the disco yeti? Cause that is the Yeti I saw while we were there. When we went last year n year before and so forth the Yeti was hard to see as he was pushed further back and most of the time you missed him as you went by cause he just stood there doing nothing but this time the Yeti was directly above us as we came by and made you scream and duck as you ride by. It was huge and scary. It may be the same yeti and they moved him but I do know the difference! I always thought the Yeti was boring, not the coaster ride itself but the Yeti itself but this Yeti was terrifying. I am not trolling as someone mentioned and you can ignore my post if you want I don't care either way but I have a right to post what I saw when I was there. If you were not there on Sept 9th and 12th then shame on you for pretty much calling me a liar. I only posted what I saw. Yes he could have just been moved and that was the difference but he was exactly like the picture I posted so if that is what you call a disco yeti then so be it but I know he is not the same Yeti I have seen for the past several years. I just wished I had took a pic or video but I was afraid of losing my camera plus I thought he just must have been fixed and everyone knew about it. There were others that posted the same as me but I guess we are all blind n dumb but y'all weren't even there but yet we are liars? Like I said they could have done testing that week? Who knows or like someone said they could have moved him but either way he was definitely leaning out toward coaster with arm raised outward and it looked like it was moving up and down.

Oh and I'm not referring to the person I quoted under, you may have helped clear it up some by saying he had been moved. I just have never saw him up close before except when he was in full swing. We always go in Sept and he has always been way in back and barely able to see him but this time we saw him way up close just like the pic I posted.

There is only one figure, so yes, that picture is of the moving yeti and Disco Yeti because they are one and the same. "Disco Yeti" is a term to denote the B Show, not a different figure.

Ok I understand that now so maybe they just moved him but that was all someone had to tell me instead of berating me. The past several years I have gone I had not ever seen him in this position before but standing way back with red eyes and a strobe light. I always had to point him out for my daughter as she would always say I didn't see him so we would ride again and I would point him out but this time I didn't have to point him out cause he was huge and right in front of us and my daughter starting screaming. Maybe the lights made him look as if he was moving but boy they sure did a good job! I just watched a video on youtube called Expedition Everest-Front Row-Yeti in Action and its dated June 3, 2009 and that is the Yeti I saw.

You misunderstood the poster's comments. They were referring to whether the picture posted was of the current state of the Yeti. The answer is no. Once they stuck the yeti in "Disco" (or B) mode it has stayed put. It hasn't moved since. Any thoughts that it may have moved are purely in the rider's head. The yeti has only been in A mode and disco mode.

Even when he moved, comments on how difficult it is to see the figure were rather common. That you think you saw movement is the whole point of the B Show (Disco Yeti) and that it works rather well is part of why there is so little incentive to fix the figure.

here is a link to that video. It may be the same yeti but he is definitely moved from where I have always seen him. And whether he is moving or not he sure is a lot scarier than the one I always saw way in back that I pretty much couldn't see at all. I wish I could find a pic if the way I saw him the last couple years that way people would understand what I'm talking about.

The sad, sad truth.

What you are showing here is the A mode. Which I promise you, you have not seen since the late 2000's. Maybe not since 2008. He currently does not move other than a mild vibration from the train car passing. (I am not berating you. Just making the observation.)
