No, we know what's going on with the paper boy. The stress of his arm motion caused a stress fracture in his foundation so he was repositioned into a position that's less stressful on his foundation.
That is correct. One other point is that if you listen closely you can hear the Disc Yeti singing, "I feel the earth move under my feet...".

Yes
Maybe the imagineers are way more creative than we think and this is the Yeti as it was intended... Perhaps they included an Easter egg in another attraction intentionally! The Jungle Cruise... "I Love Disco!!"

Guys, not to be rude, but:

1. we don't need you to report that the yeti isn't moving. It hasn't moved in years, and if it ever does again it will blow up on Twitter - one person on here isn't going to break the news.
2. there is already a stickied thread for this (unfortunately...) in the WDW general discussion forum.

Yup... Just confirming your previous posts in THIS thread with an onsite anecdotal statement. Everyone stop posting here Tom Morrow says this thread is dead.

Is he broke again? I am confused? My family rode this ride the second week of Sept. and the disco yeti was removed and in its place was a huge Yeti with a moving arm that looked like he was going to claw you as you came underneath him?

That was the disco yeti (which is not a separate figure) doing as intended, tricking you into thinking you saw movement.

Say what?

I just back read some of the quotes from when I was there and saw others reporting he was working and yes he was, I have seen the disco yeti multi times but this was a different yeti....he was way bigger and was leaning forward instead of standing up straight with the disco lights and there were no disco lights on this yeti. One large arm was moving up and down towards the coaster as it came by. It may have been removed since then but it was there when my family was there as I was so excited to see it finally moving again. If its gone maybe they were testing this new one.

I knew i should have videoed it but was afraid of losing my camera. Also he was not in same place as the disco yeti, he was much further out front and leaning sideways as my thoughts were thinking hmmm I can see why this would get broken with its size it would seem to pull too much forward and maybe break its platform after so long.

Oh. Sorry, it's getting hard to tell who is following the discussion and who is just reading this thread title and popping in to report what they saw.

nope nope and nope. Rode sunday he is stationary as ever and has remained that way since 08 anything else is the disco light doing what it's been intended to do.
