Okay, I just had to share this with everyone. First, I didn't see him in "A mode," I just wanted to say, that I do believe that Disney Imagineers have every intentions of repairing our good friend Mr. Yeti. Why else would they continue to play the footage of him in "all his glory," in all their video advertisements? Such as in the resort Top Seven, and the newly updated section on disneyworld.com. I'm just saying, "... thoughts are things, choose the good ones." Okay, I'm off my soap box.

Because thats the video that they recorded? Obviously they are not going to go back and record the thing broken.

But honestly, I hope your right. I really do. But im worried that it will never return to what it once was

After all the hype about how advanced and amazing the Yeti is (was), it's embarrassing that it's been broken for so long. No doubt the level of complexity of the Yeti makes it challenging to repair, but this is Disney - a brand that prides itself on good show.

Rumor has it Disney has decided to put a paper cut out of the yeti up. They will have a CM posted behind it screaming as you fly by, and another CM flashing a flash light at it giving the strobe effect.

This will be considered z mode.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
They're not going to fix that thing until the popularity of the ride wares down. To Disney, a ride isn't "broken" until it's less-popular. Maybe THEN they'll close down the biggest draw to DAK to spend a buttload of money to fix it. Also, they'll keep running the promo with the working yeti because it gets people in the park.
I just hope that they have done everything they can to get READY to fix the yeti. Like work out the schematics of what they'll have to do, and construct any additional braces that they may need. That way, when it comes time to fix it, it won't take as long.

I dont think they are going to fix it anytime soon, because the average disney guest doesnt realize that it broken. ppl who go there once every couple of years or for the first time think the yeti is working. Last year when I was there I overheard alot of ppl saying the yeti almost caught them and he almost scratched me. My daughter wanted to tell them he wasnt moving:fork: but I told her not to. Why ruin the disney "magic"

How many times have any of you overheard over guess say something wrong and you had to hold yourself back and not tell them the truth.:drevil:

It will be fixed. There are 2 main proposals how to do it. They just need TDO to give the goahead.

So does that basically mean they arent sure the best way to go about fixing it and the engineers are arguing about which is better?

Or is it just basically one is cheaper than the other?
