Day 6 continued.
We went into the Magic Kingdom with the plan to stay until around 10, this didn't end up happening. Anyways, we started by going up Main Street and looking in the stores. We were trying to find locking pin backs for my pin so i could wear it on my bag. We went to 3 different places in the Magic Kingdom in search of the pin backs and had no luck.
After Main Street we went over to Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is my favourite part of the Magic Kingdom, I love the atmosphere of it or something. Anyways, we went into the Laugh Floor again. It once again had a 20 minute wait.. which really just seemed to mean you had to wait for the show that was playing to end. I'll say it again, I really really enjoy the Laugh Floor.
We then went on Buzz, this time my brother rode alone. After Buzz we went on the TTA. While on the TTA we made note of how busy the Magic Kingdom was this night. I assumed it was because the previous night had been Pirate and Princess, and so everyone waited to come out on this day instead. I have no idea what the actual reason was.. on my Key to the Kingdom tour we were told that Thursday is the least busiest day of the week to go, this Thursday did not fit this at all.
We decided after the TTA we'd just head over to Epcot, since it was Extra Magic Hours there and we were going to go there after anyways. So we went back down Main Street, this time visiting the stores on the other side of the street.... checking the Emporium for pin backs as we went.
We stopped at that store that's located kind of outside the Magic Kingdom and bought some soda pops. I also bought my sister 2 jibbitz for her Disney croc. She has one shoe full of disney jibbitz, and one that's full of non-disney jibbitz. We picked out the Old fashioned Mickey, vintage Mickey as I like to call him. As well as the pirate skull and crossbones.
After this we hopped aboard the monorail and made our way over to Epcot. We were SO CLOSE to getting the front seat of the monorail to Epcot. We were the first ones there and my brother asked the man who was working the station if we could have the front... except we'd gone to the wrong side of the station. A family overheard us and beat us to the front. We were really upset and I was extremely angry at this family. Oh well. No big deal, we made it to Epcot a few minutes before Illuminations was going to begin.
There was a huge line for wrist bands in Future World so we decided we'd slowly head over to the International Gateway and get the wrist bands there.
ooooh, Spaceship Earth manages to be pretty at night even with the crane beside it. After trying a bunch of tries to take a picture that looked like my brother was carrying Spaceship Earth on his shoulders, we gave up and moved on.
On the way over to the World Showcase I remembered that you could visit Project Tomorrow even though Spaceship Earth was closed. So we decided to make a quick visit and we were the only ones in the room. This was great because it meant that both of my siblings got play both the games with no wait at all. That body building one is pretty cool, I like that you wear 3D glasses and that it's 2 player.
I almost got the Spaceship Earth words perfectly... but they started to disappear as the picture processed.
We ended up being in here for all of Illuminations... this meant we got to be like salmon travelling upstream trying to get to the World Showcase. It was pretty difficult, but we managed.
We went into the World Traveller store before getting our wrist bands. Here I bought my brother the purchasable Year of a Million Dreams ears. At least, I think that's what they represent. They're the ones with all the little lights in the ears.
Anyways, we immediately got our wrist bands from a really nice Canadian Cast member. I'm extremely interested in the international program.
After getting our wrist bands we made our way around the World Showcase. I wanted to look in the Mitsukoshi store in Japan to see if they had Monchichis, so we headed in that direction. Once we made to the store in Japan we ran into my parents!! Isn't it weird how that happens? Seriously! So, my mom had already discovered that they were out of monchichis and they only had tiny ones on key chains. I bought one for my cousin and some hello kitty stuff for another one of my friends. I could have bought so much stuff in this store. I loved the crazy apple and diamond puzzle, and the tiny lucky cats!
We visited Germany, Italy and Norway after this.. every single one we would once again run into my parents. So, once we hit Norway and discovered the Maelstrom had closed at 8, we moved on to Test Track. We waited in the standby line for about a half an hour. I was equipped with my Hidden Mickey Guide, so bigger lines weren't too bad.
After Test Track it was already time to head out. We went through Mousegears and I took a few pictures of Spaceship Earth and the Fountain of Nations on the way out.
Day 7 was the worst day of the vacation, so look forward to the biggest rant of this report!
