What about Network Administrators? Without us, you can't surf the internet at the office and you have to be "productive". Who the hell what's to do that?

You New Yorkers think you hate Damon now? Wait til his wife starts mouthing off in the papers. She gave an interview at the end of the season, talking about how Johnny was going to get her pregnant (she used more vulgar language) in a certain month. But she wasn't sure if she wanted kids because then she couldn't go shopping all the time, etc. And she said that his first wife needed to "get a life and leave Johnny alone."

So, yeah, they're a pair of spoiled rich brats. I'm glad to see him go. I think he was always more hype than he was power. What I don't like is that we're losing all these players and getting NOTHING in return. I'm more upset about losing Bill Mueller than Johnny Damon.

Wow. That is REALLY low. He doesn't care about upsetting his fans or anything, he just wanted more money. Good Grief. Was he hoping on using it for buying another extra large Jacuzzi?

Honestly, I don't care about this. I don't care for the Red Sox or Yankees. But at least a lot of your teams are intact. Which is more than I can say for other teams

When I saw this on Sportscenter last night, I literally jumped off of my sofa and yelled "WHAT!??!!!?!?"

Any other team and I would have only been partially upset, but it's the YANKEES!!! :fork:

At first I was kinda annoyed, but then I thought about some of the high priced acqusitions that the Yankees had made in the last few seasons and how many times the guys would get injured for long stretches, only to come back, do something stupid and get injured again(I'm look at you, Kevin Brown... and laughing) and I decide that I won't worry about it. Damon is streaky as a hitter and though he has great fielding range, his arm leaves a little to be desired. If he's playing Centerfield for the Yanks, then overall it give the Sox a better chance to score on deep hits than most other outfielders would give. Plus, there's always the chance he'll get injured and just be a waste of Yankees money. All these thoughts cheered me up immensely. :D

Well, Damon has never been on the disabled list once during his 11 years in the major league. So don't hold your breath on that one.

But who knows, maybe that hair had some Samson-like affect on him, and with getting rid of it he'll go into a hitting slump.

All I gotta say is BYE RED SOX NATION... don't let red sox red run in the streets of Boston.. The run is over.. Did you all enjoy it?? I hope so.. 82 more years before you see another championship.. Sorry but true... And I thought the Mets were run by a bunch of clowns?? The smartest move Theo Epstein ever did was leave the sinking ship....

GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe not, but he had to get three cortizone injections last season for his shoulder so he could actually throw the ball. Now that he's getting older, he is more likely to succumb to injury. And seeing as the Centerfield at Yankee Stadium is deeper than the one at Fenway, he's going to have to exert more force on that shoulder and more likely to have further shoulder problems. He may not have been on the DL, but he has missed entire series against opposing teams before, so it's only a matter of time.
