I really need to come here more! :) I lurk often, but now I actually have a question to post.

We arrive at WDW on Saturday, November 25th and we are staying at the Contemporary. We leave on Saturday, December 2nd. We have 7 day park hopper passes with the dining plan. It will be me, DH, DD (9), DS (7) and DS (2).

We have ADRs for

*Chef Mickey's on Monday, 11/27 at 8:00am.
*San Angel Inn, 11/28 at 3:00pm
*Coral Reef, 11/29 at 3:00pm
*Cindy's, 11/30 at 10:00am

(I made these months ago not having any clue as to what I was doing. Can you tell? LOL! I wish I would have done liberty tavern or LeCrellier's but is that too late now?)

So, here's my question - we want to visit all of the parks (not the water parks) and do MVMCP too. Which days should we visit which parks and which night (Monday 11/27, Tuesday 11/28, Thursday 11/30 or Friday 12/1) should we do the MVMCP? In other words, if you were taking my family, what would you do? LOL!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Just some general suggestions

1: Based on my experiences, Epcot seems to be least congested during the weekend of any of the four parks. AK used to run second, but I haven't been there since Expedition Everest opened, and have no idea how that's changed traffic patterns. I also have no idea if you're interested in Expedition Everest, and if you plan on doing the child swap option with your husband. Regardless, I'd recommend Epcot & AK on the weekend.

2: Go to allearsnet.com or WDW's website, and look up when each park has Extra Magic Hours and if they're morning or evening Extra Magic Hours. With your children being so young, I'm guessing you would probably take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours rather than the evening ones. If you take advantage of them at all. That extra hour at MK could be a god send to do the rides in Fatnasyland early. The only downside is that your little ones might just want to stay in Fantasyland all day long, riding the same rides again and again (of course, that could happen anywhere). But if you don't plan to stay late in parks when they have Extra magic Hours, avoid the park that'll have them any particular day.

If you are willing to be flexible with times, you may still be able to change your ADRs for Liberty Tree Tavern and le Celier. I am going to be there the same week and we are doing the dinner package at Epcot for the candle light processional which they allowed us to do using the dining plan. If you planned on attending the show you may want to ask about this.

OK my thoughts, Chef Mickey's is good for breakfast it is absolutely better for dinner ( Plus more of a bang for your dining plan buck)
I havent heard anything particularly good regarding San Angel Inn or Coral Reef in a while. Check on Le Cellier and see if has ANY openings during the week you are there for dinner. Also look into Teppanyaki Grill which is always fun. I also like the Rose & Crown, Nine Dragons and Restaurant Marrakesh. Make sure to hit EPCOT on a Sunday thru Thursday as Off Kilter ( A rock celtic band) plays in Canada usually on those days. Dont forget about the Candlelight Processional in EPCOT, which fo my group is a must do.
In MGM Dont forget the Osbourne Christmas Lights. I love the 50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner there and I try to hit this on any day BUT Sunday and Monday, as I like to catch Mulch, Sweat and Shears on the Streets of America ( A rock & roll band with an interesting story line)
Animal Kingdom does have the Jingle Jangle parade which is very cute. For this day I would either go back to EPCOT for a second restaurant or flip your options, do Donald's Prehistoric Breakfastasaurous and do one of the counter services such as Tusker House for dinner!!!
I would chose either the Tuesday or Thursday night for the MVMCP as during the week it is less crowded than on the weekends.
Let me know what changes you make to your ADR's and we can work on the days from that. Belle

Sorry addendum to my earlier post, Dont forget Cindy's is a Signature Dining experience and requires two sit down meals on the Dining plan to eat there one time. Id consider changing this or paying for it and using the second sit down towards something like the Hoop De Doo Review. Belle

MVMCP - don't go on Friday or Saturday - locals like to come and they are crowded. We just got back and did MNSSHP on a Tuesday night and it was not even close to being crowded. We did the entire park, trick or treated, saw the parade and fireworks. It was incredible.

Never say it is too late, keep calling on reservations. I had 4 different times for Cindy's and ended up getting what I wanted by calling every day.

EMH - we missed the morning ones, but MK did not even get crowded when we went later. The evening ones - we went to EPCOT and MGM - not even crowded - we missed MK due to a sick child, but it did look like it was going to be crowded.

Enjoy!

I agree with what has already been said about sticking to weekdays for MVMCP. Tuesday (28) or Thursday (30) would be your most casual evenings.

I want to repeat (strongly) a suggestion by Wannabebelle.....Plan on an evening for Candlelight Procession (at the ampitheater across from American Adventure in Epcot). If there are any reservations available, I would urge you to consider getting a dinner package. That way you will be sure to get seating for the show (although you will have to wait in line before). This is particularly important with the little ones. [I am happy standing to watch the shows, and you can do that for free, but I'm not 4' tall]

I would also suggest you check out the various Holiday happenings summarized well at Deb's site to help you plan your day. Epcot has a lot to offer day and night, an evening of Osborne Lights at MGM is not to be missed, and the Jingle Jungle Parade at AK is fun. If time permits, you may want to visit some of the deluxe hotels, as their lobbies are amazing. My favorites are Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge Boardwalk and Beach Club.

I really like San Angel Inn, but it is not a Chili's, so many are surprised. I also cannot recommend Coral Reef with a pricy and limited menu, stark decor (except for the tank wall). At Epcot Rose and Crown, Le Cellier, Chefs de France are all better choices IMHO.

Consider getting a res at Liberty Tree Tavern before your evening at MVMCP. It is a buffet with characters, and has you at the park, so no commute issue.

You may want to check out the following menu listings and consider changing your dining somewhat.]

As for the Christmas Party, I agree with the others, it would be best to do it during the week. Last year we did it on a Tuesday, and it was great, not crowded at all, we road a couple rides three times in a row. In fact we are doing it again this year (4 weeks from tomorrow:sohappy: ) on the November 28th.

As to your reservations, it doesn't hurt to call and see what you can book, I wouldn't change Chef Mickeys, we find that place great. The LTT you might have trouble if you are trying to book it for the Christmas Party as it usually books up real quick on those nights.

Have fun, we'll probably pass in one of the parks as we are there the 28th thru December 2nd.

I agree w/ most of what people have said above. However I can give you some advice on San Angel and Coral Reef having just come back and eaten at both. I would strongly advise against these and try to get something else. If you want to stick with places in Epcot my favs are Le Cellier, Rose & Crown, Nine Dragons, & Marakesh. If you can't get Le Cellier for dinner try it for lunch its just as good as the dinner. Dinner ressies are hard to come by for Le Cellier. Also I would agree that you should try to do the Candle Light its wonderful music and the choirs that come are some of the best around. The lights at MGM are a must. You also might want to try to do a carriage ride at either Fort Wilderness, Port Orleans, or if they are doing them this year a sleigh ride at Wilderness lodge. :xmas:

If you can change your ADRs for San Angel I would. Maybe it's because I'm from Texas and eat Mexican food all the time, but I was really disappointed in the food there. They don't even have homemade tortillas!!!! Even cheep TexMex places have homemade tortillas!!!

I would agree with this one. I went to MNSSHP on a Thursday & we did just about every ride we wanted to go on, both parades, trick or treating, fireworks & just kinda wandered around looking at everything.

My DH likes eating at San Angel Inn, but honestly, there is a limited menu and not much for the kids- My DD(7) AND ds(2) really didn't eat anything there because they didn't like what was available.

Chef Mickey's is a great place to eat, we go there every time we make a trip to Disney.

I agree with what everyone else said about the MVMCP during the week instead of a weekend- we did it during the week and didn't have too many issues with crowds or anything except when the parade was going, but it was worth it.

Just have a great time! :D

Ditto to the skipping San Angel and Coral Reef.

If you can possibly get to the Candlelight Processional it is in my opinion not to be missed. Its best to do the dinner package so that you get to sit in the reserved seating up front. We are eating at the Biergarten because we like German food but I bet your kids would like the Garden Grill.
