Congrats, Woo Hoo, Way To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So very proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are are you going to have us all bursting with pride by taking a nice short walk tonight?

Thanks for the encouragement. Did go for a walk this evening. About three miles, which is a short walk by most standards, but a fairly long walk for me. It is still in the 80s at 8:15 p.m. here, but the humidity is not so bad. Fall is on the way.

That is when I wish I was young again. I cannot get much over 2.5 miles before my knees and hips start to hurt and I have to stop. I suppose I should say, thankfully after 2.5 miles, I need to stop. To be honest, I keep moving just to be sure that I keep moving. I envision stopping for a couple of days and end up like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz when it rains, all the joints will just freeze up.

Don't knock 2 1/2 miles! Every step counts!

Happy farm market Saturday. I did 3 miles of LS's Ultimate 5 day plan. I like this DVD because it gets you sweaty. For my cool down I did 20 minutes of yoga. I have just enough to throw together a smoothie for breakfast and I need to get to the market because there won't be any food in the house after the boys eat breakfast. Have a great weekend!

No need to pick this up at the farmer's market, because I already bought you some of your favorite okra. (I'll drop it by your house later.) I know it's okra, because I Googled what an okra was. :D

Good morning. Happy Zen Day. Today's plan 3 yoga sessions Morning(done) noon and night. I have lots of cooking to do today. I'm making an eggplant, white bean "meat loaf, a regular meatless meatloaf, Puetro Rican style rice with pigeon peas, mac and "cheese", squash fritters and of course lots of veggies and a pot of curry. I'm hoping to get ahead with my cooking so I can finish up my trip report and get some sewing done this week.

I think 3 miles is perfectly respectable!! Way to go!! When my hip was really bad, I wasn't getting to walk at ALL, and when I had the first injection, 2 miles was about all I could take before it started feeling stiff. I think you are doing really well!

Good morning!! Had a great staycation this weekend! Nice and restful. We got lots of walking in. The weather was perfect. Now time to get back to the norm. Do laundry and grocery shopping today. Have a great day guys!

We did a stay home vacation a few years ago and got a lot done around the house, cleaned out the attic, did some painting, caught up on some landscaping, tree trimming, etc...it was not a restful week.

Haha we made through Fri and Sat then had to do some work Sun. Couldn't help ourselves!
Yeah, the idea of staying home and just relaxing is a good idea, but there are things here that have been on my list of things to do ever since we bought this house, and that was in 1991. Some things on that list are just not gonna get done, except maybe after retirement. Nah, not even then as I won't care any more by then!

Isn't it funny how the older you get, you just don't care about getting some things done around the house you once cared about? We are so getting that way the closer retirement comes!

Good morning Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and due to the rain both groups cancelled. Oh well a good excuse for some sun salutations. The rain stopped just long enough for me to get out and get in 2 quick miles very quick it was coming down just as I got home. Curry and hummus for breakfast, a nice large salad is planned for lunch and I'm going to do something will the beautiful and large swiss chard i got over the weekend. I hope all of you have as nice a week as you did a weekend!

Good morning, no make that it's a great morning. I found an old kickboxing DVD and did that followed by a LS 12 minute mile and then a Jessica smith 10 minute mile. I got out and walked with some friends, it's more socializing than moving quickly LOL I had baked tomatoes with almonds for breakfast, I have a salad chopped for lunch and leftover veggie curry with tofu for dinner. Best of all I'm going swimming in a bit. I hope you're having as good a day as I am

Have not posted many grilling pics lately. Here are some simple leg quarters with Weber Kickin' Chicken rub and some low sugar bbq sauce. These were cooked over direct heat and turned frequently. I usually cook indirect and don't turn, but wanted to try it a little different.
As for flavor, not much difference. The skin is crispier cooked over direct heat, but not sure it is worth it with the constant turning.
