Hello-

I am in with a full body circuit workout. I am a bit under the weather, so this was a bit of a struggle. But it's done. :) I have a 7 AM flight tomorrow, so I need to finish up my packing and other last minute things I never got around to doing (i.e., nails). Tonight is carry outs--whatever my husband decides to bring home. It just creates more time for me to get stuff done. :)

All I have left to pack is my carry-on, and unless I get out to a salon at lunchtime tomorrow, I'll be sporting the "nude look" on my nails. ;)

I'll see you for lunch on Saturday!

The following hodgepodge is sponsored by my vacation. It's called "use up all the stuff in the fridge that hubs doesn't eat so it doesn't go to waste while I'm away". Had a zucchini from my garden and some chickpeas (those are the things he won't eat). Sautéed them with some chopped tomatoes (also from the garden) and some shrimp.

It's pretty tasty.

Hi all...

I have not shared this elsewhere, but since I appear to be getting better, I thought I would share here...I got sick Monday night. Tuesday I ended up at the doctor after I was really worried about my asthma (like, wondering if I should go to the hospital worried). My doctor said I have a viral upper respiratory infection, so I've been on oral steroids and nebulizer treatments several times a day since then. But he says it is just viral, so I should, very slowly, be getting better.

I should have figured I was due; I haven't had an asthma flare this bad in over a year, haven't had to miss class time for my asthma in over a year, but this was the week. I still went to work but have skipped several classes this week. Needless to say, I haven't been working out. I don't even feel well enough to walk. Sometimes walking across campus just to get to class is enough to make me feel completely exhausted. I'm hoping maybe I'll feel good enough to walk on my treadmill Saturday, but I'm not pushing anything. When I haven't been at work, school, or doing my homework, I've basically been sleeping or lying on my bed watching Gilmore Girls. This is what happens when you go to school with 4,000 other people

I'm not a big fan of soy milk it usually has too many fillers. I like coconut or almond milk better and if you get either unsweetened they don't add much flavor.
I had a Chai Tea Latte with coconut milk yesterday. I was so tired that it was no longer optional. It was delicious. :hungry: Still not as good as the fresh coconut milk out in Hawaii, though.

Well, I don't like coffee, but I love coconut milk in my tea lattes. To me, it really doesn't have a strong coconut flavor. Just a different flavor then if you get it with regular milk. I like it a heck of a lot better than soy lattes.

Although I'm a coffee drinker, a tea latte with coconut milk sounds mighty tasty. I might try one of those at Starbucks this weekend, for something different.

My MIL and my hubs both have asthma. Take it easy!

Please take it easy until you're better. Between school and working a real job you may be pushing things a bit, so be careful! Have you though about meditation or yoga for relaxation. Not workout yoga! Be well and get well soon xoxo

I'm doing that tonight. Cleaning out the fridge and just seeing what comes with what's in it. I have some eggplant, squash and peppers. Now the tough choice do I go Asian or mediteranian. If that's the hardest decision I have to make today life is good:joyfull:

Good morning just checking in with JM's Ripped in30(Jillian Michaels is evil) I'm going walking with one of the groups and plan on trying something I found on youtube by yoga works. It's a set of 4 10 minute practices so I'm hoping to get to one of them. I have to finish chopping, vac sealing and freezing all the bulk veggies I bought last week. The boys guys also want me to make blueberry jam and apple crumb. It's going to be a busy day. Mostly fun but busy

Walking normally helps me to calm down and relax a bit. I put in the earbuds and zone out. Chorus is also my relax time. I'm not a fan of yoga or meditation. My school offers it, but not during convenient times.

Looks great. Clean out the fridge day is fun.We have come up with some good concoctions, especially soup, doing that. Now, I have made a thing or two that was not real good too, like the time I combined leftover mac and cheese with leftover chili and assorted veggies. That was kinda a mess, but still edible.

That yoga I said I was going to try. Well I did and boring! I don't mind slow but but this was meh at best. Did about 6 or 7 minutes and didn't feel stretched, worked or relaxed so I put Shiva Rea in my DVD and feel all of the above:joyfull:

I am going to pat myself on the back again. Wife is in Savannah on business and all day I have been thinking about picking up a pizza on the way home. I have thought about what size, what toppings etc...
Then I decided to just come home and make something more healthy. I had a chicken breast, some sautéed veggies and sliced tomatoes. The only iffy part was the tomatoes were kinda boring so I topped them with some thousand island dressing. That was some extra carbs and calories I could have skipped.
