For sure! It hasn't been very warm here this week. Average temps for this time of year are 16 celsius, but this week has been 11 or 12 and pretty cloudy. So it hasn't been very nice. Last week I had to wear sunscreen and didn't need a jacket. This week is the opposite.I don't know what your temps are like right now, but mine is always worse in warmer weather conditions.
Maybe next time stop immediately and finish later? Have you tried breaking up your workout routine into several smaller workouts? Like doing 3 ten minute sets, or 2 sets of 15 minutes? Would that help avoid athsma? So I'm a dummy.
I started on my elliptical, as usual. Partway through, I realized I was having asthma symptoms. Do I stop? Nah, kept going until after 35 minutes, I felt like I might pass out. All I could think about was, "If I don't do this, I'll get a migraine."
Better now. I have a second inhaler that does the job.
I think I was probably already having trouble, so that's what happened. Normally, I can go on my elliptical for 45 minutes straight with no symptoms. I don't run because of the asthma, though. I can get my heart rate up on a bike or an elliptical normally and have no symptoms, but trying to run I'll immediately have symptoms. But yeah, sometimes I can't tell that I'm having trouble, so if I was beforehand, it exacerbated it.Maybe next time stop immediately and finish later? I once drove myself to GBMC from where I live while having an attack. No one was home, and the person I normally would have called was out of town, so I was like, ah, I'll get in the car and start driving. Then I got there, realized I walked into the ER and had left my phone in the car, walked back out to the car, got my phone, and walked back in, and calmly told them I was having an asthma attack, basically whispering it because at that point, I could not breathe. They put the pulsox on my finger and my oxygen levels were pretty low apparently, so not a bit of that was smart, but no way was I calling an ambulance.Yeah uhh....don't over do that crap now lol. Don't need ya falling out.
