I also tried Spam musubi but did not like it as well as Loco Moco.
Favorite of all the stuff we tried in Hawaii was shave ice....so good, especially with macadamia nut ice cream in the bottom and a condensed milk topping over the flavored ice.
Also extra good was fresh pineapple right out of the field. It was so sweet and juicy with a different texture than pineapple here. Good stuff.

We didn't care for the Spam musabi either but in general we do like Spam. The shave ice is so good in Hawaii but we just kept it classic. I wish we would have had ice cream or the condensed milk topping. But I guess we will just have to go back someday to try it that way! Yours looks so tasty.

Hello-

I did a lower body kettle bell workout. I think I am going to be sore tomorrow. :cautious:

I went for a walk, too. It was a bit raw, but I felt like I needed to get out. Today is my son's 17th birthday and he had a few friends over to hang out, have some pizza and eat some cake. I needed to get out for some quiet and fresh air. :hilarious:

I'm thinking of snuggling up on my couch and renting a scary film tonight. 🎃💀👻

The like is for no court today. But it sucks that you can't talk to anyone....will you be allowed to when it's over?

Yes, once it's over we can talk about it. It will be publicly available information once the verdict is delivered. We can't talk about it with anyone because we're supposed to formulate our own opinion and discuss it during deliberation. If we talk about it before the verdict, the concern is a juror will be influenced by someone else's opinion.

It's funny, most of the jurors go out to lunch together and everyone is itching to discuss this. LOL

So while we were in Hawaii a few weeks ago one thing we tried was local food. One of the more interesting was something called Loco Moco and it was served just about everywhere.
I made my own version tonight. It is basically white rice, a teriyaki burger and brown gravy topped with fried eggs. Gotta say, mine was very good. It may be that I put extra teriyaki sauce in the gravy. Anyway, not something I would make often, but it made for something different to try.

Just out of curiosity how much SPAM did you see on that trip? BTW that looks like breakfast at my grandparents when I was a kid

Wow. That's massive. What are the flavors on it?

This one had macadamia nut ice cream topped with shave ice with pineapple and strawberry syrups then topped with a sweetened, condensed milk concoction. It was a flavor explosion! I only had a little bit of it because of all the sugar, and my wife could not finish it off. Good thing we decided to share instead of each getting one.

Hello-

I just went for a walk today. I was way too sore to do anything else. Trying to get up from a chair is torture, so is sitting down! When I woke up, it didn't seem so bad. But as the day progressed, so did the muscle soreness. I hadn't done any kettle bell workouts since July until yesterday, so my muscles are mad at me. :p

I'll probably be sore tomorrow, too, but I am hoping I can at least do some yoga in the morning.

I have been getting rides home from other jurors, so I am taking Lyft in the AM. My husband also told me he'd feel better if I took Lyft vs. PATCO. There are these lookout towers with Camden Police in them all around the PATCO and bus stations. I went out for lunch the other day and I had a man start walking up next to me and talking to me. I just crossed the street as soon as he did that. I didn't feel threatened or anything, but I just didn't want to deal with it. Jury duty makes me cranky. LOL

Sympathy like. It's frigid here, and of course DS went out the door this morning with his hoodie because that's all he's needed up to now. So we got about 50 feet from the school when he started crying. His hood wouldn't stay up. I looked, and they sewed the ties in place so you can't tighten the hood. So he was FREEZING. I had to take off my hoodie and give it to him and I just had my light-weight jacket. So it was COLD going home, but at least DS was toasty warm and not crying. I had him try on his winter jacket when he got home and it's way too small. He's grown SO MUCH in the last 6 months. So, fortunately we have a parenting class all day tomorrow, so we're taking him to school and picking him up by car, and we'll be done at 3:30 so we can go straight to the shopping center and get him a new coat.
