working out for Disney

You both should take care, easier said than done though I know. My dystonia is catching up with me with muscle tears and pains regularly, think they have a picture of me on the wall of our local hospital physiotherapy unit :)

Hope your wife's kidney issues are ok, send her my best.

And one year damn it, we'll meet up in Disney and have some food and drink together (before we've all fallen to pieces) :arghh:

Yes, one of these days we are gonna make that happen my friend.

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Hope everyone is well. I have been constantly on the move since our disney vacation. We are still in the process of finishing up the remodeled bathroom. After two hurricanes and a vacation, maybe we can finish it this month.
I have been getting all my steps in getting up all the leaves that are constantly falling. :joyfull: I can't believe it is already near the end of October. Where did my summer go?? I do not like cold weather--cool is ok as long as it is warm during the day with sunshine! I am already dreading the winter temps. :banghead:

Well, I'm getting my steps in every day, but I still don't feel like it's doing anything. Though someone at choir asked me last night if I've lost weight. So I suppose it could be I just don't notice it myself. Who knows.
I'm looking forward to the cooler temps just so I can do workouts more comfortably. Last week we were still getting summer-like temps for here, and without AC, it's miserable in the house even if you AREN'T working out. So I'm looking forward to the cool weather so I can add a bit more cardio on the days I'm not working. This week is vacation for the kids (fall break) so we're doing a lot of crafting, but next week, it's back to business and I can hopefully get in a few workouts on days that I don't have to work, so I'm not overdoing it, but also burning more calories. Wish me luck.

Hello-

I am still around. I went on a cruise a few weeks ago and then my mom and grandmother came to visit. Now I am on jury duty for a three week trial. I am not getting my steps in on trial days, but I have been getting up early and doing a 40 minute power yoga class. I tried to get out of it because I don't drive and it costs me ~$60/day to get to the courthouse and back. I told the judge during the voir dire and he just shrugged it off. I do get paid for my time, but it's not enough to defray the transportation costs. My husband is in Minneapolis for two weeks, otherwise he would drive me. We're still selecting the jury, so I can still be dismissed today. I was surprised I was chosen, because my mother has a similar medical issue that required open heart surgery as a child. The judge and lawyers didn't think it was an issue, but that can change to today as we fill the remaining seats.

We went though 60 prospective jurors yesterday and there is still one seat to be filled. :banghead:

Thanks. I'm serving in Camden on a medical malpractice trial. I did take a Lyft there this AM, but someone on the jury offered to give me a ride home. That was so nice of her. But tomorrow I'm taking a Lyft to a PATCO station. There is a PATCO station across the street from the courthouse. I'm thinking Lyft to a PATCO station then taking the train to Camden should be about half of what I am paying now. The good news is they want to wrap this up by Wednesday, instead of 11/8. That is a relief.

The like is for it wrapping up sooner than later. Major dislike for having to go into Camden. Good luck
