Finally got my Hawaii souvenirs hung on the wall. From left, light mahogany soprano size, Hawaiian koa concert size and dark mahogany tenor size. I like having all three different size ukuleles on display.

Do you play the ukuleles? My husband bought a cheap ukulele when we were in Hawaii and taught himself how to play, now he owns a couple good quality ones.

Could not sleep. Woke up about 3:15 a.m. and tossed and turned until I got up about 4. Made some breakfast quietly around 5, doing my best not to wake the others. Will reheat my wife's when she gets up.
We were supposed to go camping this weekend at a local state park. Scored reservations awhile back as it is hard to get a spot at our favorite campground in the fall as it is a small state park on a lake and is a popular campground.
Anyway neither one of us are feeling great, and I decided to cancel our reservation. I will tell her when she gets up, but I am sure staying home will be fine with her.
Anyway, was planning on hiking to a waterfalls or two this weekend, but we can still just walk around the neighborhood.

Oh hope you two aren't coming down with anything. Stay healthy this weekend.

Oh, we are fine. Thanks for asking. Most of what ails us lately is old age, though my wife does have a kidney issue that concerns us both a whole lot.
This past weekend, she pulled a muscle in her shoulder while trying to carry her computer, another bag full of paperwork and files and her purse in one hand, keys and Yeti in the other while rushing to the car in a downpour. Trying to do that in one trip, instead of making multiple trips to the car from the office proved to be a mistake.
As for me, just doing more yard work and stuff around the house than I should at one time results in physical issues that make sleeping difficult.
So with all that, it was just easier to stay home instead of go camping.

Hope you can both rest up a bit. I assume your wife is getting some good medical care regarding her kidney issue.

Sorry I haven't checked in. Busy is the story of my life right now. It's same ols, same old lots of rain so mostly LS, YWA and Jessica Smith to change things up. I may have mentioned this but we've been trying to add more probiotics to out diet so in addition to pickles and krauts we made natto this week. The first batch was made with chic peas and came out a bit mild which in the case of natto is a good thing;)

Today was a "rest" day. BBQ with all the fixings for a small mob or it just feels like a mob when my boys are eating. Tomorrow batch 2 of natto will be fermented, aduki beans. We're going from mild to strong tasting. So far the guys like the chick pea one, my only complaint is it is just a bit dry so I'll add a bit more water to the spores for the next batch

You both should take care, easier said than done though I know. My dystonia is catching up with me with muscle tears and pains regularly, think they have a picture of me on the wall of our local hospital physiotherapy unit :)

Hope your wife's kidney issues are ok, send her my best.

And one year damn it, we'll meet up in Disney and have some food and drink together (before we've all fallen to pieces) :arghh:
