working out for Disney

Good morning! It is rainy, dark, and dreary. At least it's not snow. So, this morning I have done laundry, painted a shelf that DH made to get his Star Wars collection off the floor, bills, and trying to find new doctors for us both. As you know, I wanted to get a new dtr because I wasn't feeling comfortable going to my current one. Well, this weekend we got a letter from the practice saying that he was leaving. Both of us went to him, so trying to find a good one at a practice we will like is hard. I found a couple that look good online that is affiliated with the hospital we like so may try appointments with them.
DH is out of town for the day in a business meeting, so not much going on here. Walking will definitely be inside and doing RS again. Dinner is going to be burrito bowls with brown rice, black beans, and lots of veggies.

I made it out to the mall for several very fast laps before opening:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: I also got to several other stores most of which had signs saying they will either be closed or closing early tomorrow. I'm currently doing my storm prep cooking and will squeeze in a practice later. Stay safe my friends

Hello-

I did a quick tabata workout this afternoon. I didn't sleep well last night. I fell asleep without an issue, but the tiniest sound wakes me up, so this quick workout fit the bill.

I am making cilantro-lime chicken with avocado sauce for dinner. It's quick and tasty. :)

Yuck for all the cold! We are actually having GLORIOUS weather this week. It's like heaven after last week! I think it was up to 53 or 54 here today, though it was a bit misty this morning. But after a week of below zero temps, even the 52 we had the past 2 days feels AMAZING!! The forcast for this weekend is around 55 degrees, BUT it's not supposed to be Sunny as it has been the last couple of days, so it probably won't feel quite as warm. But I'll take it!!

Ok, I know several of you have some sort of fitbit-like device (AKA Cracker) to count steps and keep track of your workouts. My cracker seems to be failing...it's losing time, it doesn't track everything....I need a new one. BUT, I'm overwhelmed with all the different kinds and what they offer. I want something that looks decent, not like one of those big calculator watches from the 80s...and I want something that will track my steps, but also connects to GPS to track distance rather than calculate the distance by how many steps it records. A heart rate monitor is nice, but not necessary. What do you all have, how long have you had it, is it still accurate?
If I remember correctly, @epcotisbest , you got your wife a Charge 2, right? Or was yours the Alta? I really like that one so far, but I don't want to invest in something that's going to do what this one has and I need to buy another one in a year.
DH has been looking on Aliexpress, but those seem cheap and one of my co-workers bought one from Ali and it's already a dud. You get what you pay for? So I am willing to invest in more...I looked at the Fitbit blaze, but it's the style I DON'T want...too big and not at all nice looking, so I'd have to take it off whenever I went somewhere nice...I want something I can wear all the time and it goes with whatever I'm wearing. So, hit me! Comments, questions, observations?

Don't know what happened on last post.
Yes, I got her the Charge 2.
Here is a link. https://www.fitbit.com/charge2
She has had it since not this past Christmas, but the Christmas before, so a year and a few months and it has worked flawlessly. She loves it and wears it every day. She now has multiple bands in many different colors and likes to change out the bands to different colors. It has a lot of advanced features she does not use, like gps mapping. She mostly just likes to hit her 10,000 steps daily. The link included has lots of info. I think @93boomer has the Alta.
