Our supermarket has fresh veggies on sale this week...I think I need to see if brussels sprouts are on sale...I'm craving them. And zucchini...OOh...and Broccoli. Maybe I will do spaghetti with zoodles.

That's all quite impressive, give her a big hug from me and take her out to eat tonight on your dimeThanks. She has had a crazy week. She is having to relocate an office after some downsizing and moving some employees to another office, and dealing with commercial real estate rental is a pain.
These are just a few of the highlights, many smaller things are not worth mentioning:
She looked and looked for the right location then finally found the right office with enough space and much lower rental rate, but the landlord is an older retiree who does not know a lot about building maintenance and tries to do things on the cheap, like cleaning the carpet himself. That would not be a big deal but she had to have IT come in and wire all the offices for internet and LAN wiring. When the landlord came in to clean the carpet a few days before the move, he decided the wiring was in the way and since he did not know what it was, and thought it was from a previous tenant, he just took wire cutters and snipped off all of those "wires coming up out of the floor that were in the way."
So all that had to be rewired and IT people don't work for free.
Then come moving day, some of the staff were not ready and had not gotten their offices packed and ready for the movers. Then the old landlord started being a pain and came over telling them they could not park the moving truck in front of the building and it had to be moved "right now." My wife told him the truck was on the side of a public street that he did not own and they would not be moving it but he could "call the police if he really thought they were breaking any laws."
Then he started on her about holes in the walls and drywall damage and that it would have to be repaired. She told him that was what the security deposit was for and to take the repairs out of the security deposit. He told her he did not have time to do the repairs and she would have to. She told him that was not going to happen. He demanded to talk to the person in charge and she explained to him she was in charge (and she is in charge of that particular office and of business operations in all the offices). He did not like that answer and demanded to talk to "someone higher up." She gave him her secondary cell phone number and waited for his call.
Sure enough he called about 15 minutes later and she, in a very professional and calm voice explained to him the exact same thing she had just told him face to face just a few minutes earlier. That seemed to calm him down a bit. She is quite skilled at dealing with unreasonable people.
Now while all of this is going on, they still have work to do so she has been putting in 14-16 hour days trying to get moved (that process of actual moving, taking apart furniture and reassembling it etc.. took two and half days) and keeping regular business going at the same time, so she is quite exhausted and stressed and some team members have not exactly been the most cooperative during it all.
Also, she finds herself working out of boxes as there has not really been time to unpack and get organized yet.
And, it is fall festival time here and our church has a booth set up selling concessions and that takes a lot of preparation and then an all day, all out effort manning the booth, so she is going to be really shot tomorrow. Yes, she has to be there as she is Sunday School Superintendent and WM secretary/treasurer.
Anyway, things will be better and back to normal for her soon.
My guess is she will come in this evening, take a nice, long, steamy bubble bath then turn in early, while I enjoy a couple of sugar free fried apple pies. The regular fried Apple pies are the best seller at their festival concession booth. Fried peach pies are popular too. That's all quite impressive, give her a big hug from me and take her out to eat tonight on your dime
calories for a good causeDo I know my wife or what? I felt like she would be bringing home fried apple pies.

Oh my, that's terrible news!! Prayers ascending!Good morning! We finally got rain this weekend. It has been a month. We got over 2 1/2 inches. Lots of wind but not bad and no tornadoes here. They were a few about an hour from here though. DH is headed to one of those areas to help with the power.
DH had some bad news about one of his co-workers’ son this weekend. He got shot in the head while on his college campus. Doesn’t look good. Please send pixie dust and prayers to their family. It is going to be hard for that family.

Nope. Until the power all gets back on.Sending prayers and pixie dust. Do you have any idea how long your dh will be gone?
I'm so sorry PrayersNope. Until the power all gets back on.
The boy I told you about died this afternoon. He donated his organs then they took him off life support.
So sorry to hear that. Can't imagine the pain that family must be going through. Organ donation is a admirable choice. They may never know just how much difference that choice made to other families.Nope. Until the power all gets back on.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry! His poor parents!! What is the college doing about it?Nope. Until the power all gets back on.

So they know who shot him? I would hope that it would go to trial if they know that! Small consolation for the family, I would guess, but at least then they know that the people responsible are held accountable for it!Thanks guys. I will forward the prayers.
@Songbird76 have no idea what all the college is doing besides offfering their help and support to the family.
The police have the suspects in custody that shot him so I guess we have to see if it goes to trial. If the family knows what happened, they will keep quiet in order for the charges to be strong against the suspects. All the facts are not public yet. Just hope justice is served for a senseless shooting.
Yes but I don’t know if someone saw it happen or camera caught it. I think it should help them knowing they’ve caught the person responsible .So they know who shot him?
