That's exactly it...the one starts it and the others join in. And they back each other up when the teacher asks what happened...so it's DS's word against 3 or 4 other kids and there's no proof. The teachers can't watch just him during recess to make sure he's not getting picked on and of course the kids are good at knowing when they are being watched and when they are free to torment. DD's class isn't really too bad, but the class ahead of her and behind her are both full of real jerks. Thank goodness the class ahead of hers is gone to high school now, so a few of DS's bullies are gone. But there are plenty left in his own class. It's just a really rotten class. When DS was in 1st grade, they pretty much had all the jerks in the one class and after that year, the teachers said no way could they handle another year like that, they HAD to split the kids up. There was one class that was really easy and mellow and one that was...horrid. 2 boys in particular...best friends, they had to split up because the two of them together were awful. One is the one who threatened DS to kill him and our whole family. The parents were angry that the boys were split up because generally they try to keep friend groups in tact. But in that case, it was in EVERYONE's best interest to split them up and the parents just didn't understand why their little angels weren't put in the same class. The one good thing is that over here, high schools are divided by level. DS is in all the plus groups and most of the bullies are in the remedial groups, so he'll probably go to the AP level of school and they will probably go to the remedial level high school. So when he gets to JR. high, he'll be split up from them, and the AP level will be full of kids more like him, so he'll fit in a bit better. At least that's what I'm hoping. DD has preliminary advice to do AP high school and she's always been in the plus groups as well, and scored in the highest range on her tests, same as DS. So if SHE got AP advice, he most likely will too.Kids can be so cruel. I always wonder what's going on at home to make a kid bully another kid. Are they mimicking a parent's behavior? Are they being abused? I would be furious, too. My god, whipping a soccer ball at a kid, snapping a towel, and spat on. What's scary is they recruit others to do and they just join in.
My son is going to be 16 in October. My son gets picked on a lot because of the way he talks. He is kind of loud and he repeats a lot.
Hopefully they'll move long before that. That's exactly it...the one starts it and the others join in. Cheat meal. The first okra of the year was at the farm market so I make some fried okra(with a bit of siracha) to go with my lunch salad. The rest will get used in nice healthy soups or stews. I would have got a pic but the boys got to it before I could
Okra . . . I'd say they did you a favor . . .
Tonight's dinner is easy for us, and different. I bought some pre-made lobster bisque (from a restaurant), and then I bought some lobster tails to boil, and I'll add themin the heated up bisque. Bought a loaf of crusty herb bread to go with it! Happy mouth soon!! (Hubs keeps asking me when it's going to be ready.) And no, it's not low calorie bisque either, but I was just in the mood for something delicious!
Woke up early this morning, around 4:30. Could not get back to sleep. Tossed and turned for awhile then got up, walked the dogs in the dark then quietly made breakfast.
Gonna go for a walk early, then maybe a State Park hike later.
What little I got of it turned out great and my dh even had seconds. For the meat I just subbed in finely chopped mushrooms, cooked the veggies down and "browned" the tomato paste a bit with the veggies then deglazed with a splash of red wine
Before the sun comes up I'm more concerned about critters than people. foxes, coyote, bobcat and skunks in particular.I was up really early yesterday, too. I usually wait until 6-7-ish to walk on the weekends. It's heavily wooded where I live and I am always bit concerned of being attacked and nobody noticing. Yes, I know that sounds extreme and paranoid. It's not like I use that as an excuse not to walk, I just like to wait until there are more people out and about, especially since I like to listen to music when I walk.
A foam roller is still on my shopping list I was going to get one but wound up getting Christmas ornaments for everybody instead. I haven't made soap in a very long time, maybe when I have a spare day when everything is caught up and I'm so jelly about your cruise, please take pics so we can armchair vacation. thnx.Hello-
Yesterday, I did a streaming workout that was a sweaty 45 minutes. Today is going to be a walk and some foam rolling.
I might make some soap today. I am going on a DCL cruise in a few weeks and I am making soap as a little gift for everyone.
I might bake, too. But I can't eat soap, so I might stick to soap making. LOL
Well I didn't wake up early just the opposite! I didn't get to sleep until after 1:30! I guess I can't watch any tv with action before bedtime any moreWoke up early this morning, around 4:30. What she got herself. Apparently handbags are like shoes...you just can't have too many. Same applies to coffee mugs and grills.

Hello-
Today I went for a walk and it was beautiful outside. I did wait for it to warm up a bit before I went out. I am enjoying the weather, but I feel like this weather should be happening later. I have my windows open, too.
I did a streaming workout called "Summer Shred." Man, was it brutal. I had to take a few breaks.
I made roasted veggies and roasted curry chickpeas with cashew-lemon sauce. I was eating it and I think I felt my crown move. I am hoping it was maybe a bit of crunchy vegetable. I looked in my mouth and my crown looked OK. I brushed my teeth and it felt normal afterwards. So maybe it was a bit of cauliflower or broccoli in my teeth.
