working out for Disney

Here is a little motivation tip (i think). Since we just purchased a new TV that has YouTube capabilities I have been watching WDW Videos while I work out. I am watching resort tours of all the resorts that I have not been to. It makes my time on the elliptical go by so much faster. I am finding myself actually smiling while working out. Last night I found ABC's broadcast of the opening on Disneyland from 1955. It is an hour and a half show so I break it up into 3 work out sessions. Never been so excited to get back on the elliptical tonight! Its was so cool to see Walt pull up in the E.P. Ripley and he was welcomed by Art Linkletter. Heck, even President Reagan was there!! Well the actor Ronnie Reagan at that time.

Just some stretching and an easy yoga practice for me today! I'm heading out early to run my last minute errands and off to bed as early as I can! we're hitting the road early tomorrow! Take care of each other and see you real soon!

Good Morning Everyone,

This morning I sat for 15 minutes of meditation and a 1 hour and 15 minute hatha practice. Hopefully the weather stays nice and I will catch a walk at lunch. It's going to be a busy day, after work I am teaching 3 classes and then going to a chanting class myself. Chanting helps bring the mind to one pointedness, making meditiation easier.

For breakfast I am chomping on a green apple with almond butter. Lunch is quineoa with almonds and fresh cranberries (I freeze them when they are in season). I added a little light brown sugar, clove, cinnamon,and a pinch of curry it smelt really great while I was cooking it last night. Dinner is simple, (time will be an issue later) tomato, avocado, fresh spinach and asparagus in a habanero wrap.

My thoughts for today:
When the world is going through rough times, the responsibility of those on a peaceful path becomes greater. Hold the afflicted in your heat and abstain from jumping on the bandwagon of fear, anger and revenge. Make a strong effort to not get washed away in the flow of events.

Thanks guys I got up and did JM's no more trouble zones and did 5 indoor miles 2 hours until we leave. Changed out travel plans. We are taking the western route we're going down 81 to miss the storm. It will add a few hours to our drive but the weather will be so much better! xoxo Figgy

Hair appt this morning and then some cleaning.

Thanks because one the first things I'm going to do when I get back is check in with you guys! LOL Going off to pack my food. Home a nice shredded salad with beans nuts and berries not to mention all the nice veggies. Wish me luck that I don't blow up my diet too much! xoxo

I just returned from 3 day of Restorative Yoga Training. Absolutely BLISSFUL, but, I am out of sorts with my regular Yoga practice. This morning was slow moving...lol

I sat in 20 minutes of meditation and did 60 minutes of Hatha. Tonight I will have a 1 hour and 15 minute class with my Yoga buddy. We try and practice together every Monday night and then off to teach my Monday night Yogis!

I had a smoothie this morning with berries, avacado, and kale. I added a tablespoon of coconut yogurt and a squeeze of agave. I was craving sweets.

Lunch is homemade tofu, edamme nuggets and dinner is Kale stoup. I made it last week and froze a batch I knew my time management would be a little off when I returned.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Wow, what a wonderful bunch of cheerleaders! My oldest does this program called Insanity and I love to watch her, she's so motivated, due to horrible feet issues I will never be able to keep up but really enjoy my weekend mornings walking around that park, I call that my excercise routinue!
Just keep moving! Walking is the park is an awesome way to keep the body healthy. I am sorry to hear you are experience foot issues. Is it a permanant issue?
