working out for Disney

Good morning everyone.
This Yogi has been absentee. Life seemed to have a vice grip around my throat and I needed to let go of everything and begin to put back the things that mean most and let go of the things I just did not need in my life. Well I am back, this is not just a "site" but a place where beautiful like minded people come to share information about something they hold near and dear! It's really a part of the yogic philosophy.

It's been a lot of going back to basics for me. The beginners mind. This morning I took a slow 60 slow flow breathing breathing,breathing. I sat for 25 minutes meditation.

Hope you don't mind but I hope to add a thought for the day at the end of each post....

Gratitude...
A life lived with gratitude is a wildly abundant life. Take a moment to reflect on one thing you are grateful for. Just one! ( hard right?! ). When the day gets you down or you just feel Bleh call to mind this item of gratitude. Watch as it all changes to wonderfullness!! ☺

I have been end of the year testing students all week... bad part... I just do not get the exercise like I do when I am teaching physical education... going to try to eat better today... but my DH is selling doughnuts for his football team this morning... Not a very good influence!!
will run again tonight... ;)

I'm keeping even stranger hours in this heat! 6 days to go so no more plyo for me!!!!!!!!! Not worth risking an injury so close to leaving. Working out earlier does have one advantage I can get here earlier! LOL So here it is the last weekend before I leave and I want to thank each and every one of you for getting me in the best shape I've been in, in years!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far today I've done 10 miles with boosters and later I'm going to try to get in the pool, but the car needs a bath and the lawn needs mowing so I'll have to supervise my boys. I don't do either as they are getting a trip to Disney! I hope you all have a great weekend! xoxo Figgy!

I had a beautiful guided mediation this morning very centering. I took a 1:30 class at the studio and then taught a private. Feeling tired but grateful. Off to a mani pedi and then a long swim. Life is good.


Always remember to do your best. Your best may vary from day to day. But under all circumstance do your best and you will avoid self judgement self abuse and regret.

Good morning I feel accomplished! Well if you saw my deck after the way too long winter you'd understand! LOL My deck is finally neat and clean and all my earth boxes are planted and in their proper place! I did JM's no more trouble zones and 5 miles with boosters! Still debating what to eat blueberry muffin or blueberry kale smoothie! Can you tell what was on sale? LOL It's going to be wonderful out today so I'm going to be out quite a bit! Have a great day an keep moving forward!

Good Morning.... @figmentfan423 it's finally here!! The week you have waited for!!!
Today starts our last week of school!!! We are a year around school so its only a 5 week summer. Headed to Our yearly beach house on Oak Island on Saturday! Hoping to run all week... Trying to decide if I am going to do a half or full marathon on September....
Going to try to eat good today.. After that big bowl of Alfredo I had last night.... :)

Good Morning Lovelies!
This morning I sat for a 15 meditation and did a 1 hour 15 minute asana practice. Tonight I will be teaching Yoga to some of my favorite peeps!
For breakfast I had quineoa with cranberries and pecans.
Lunch is just left over brussel sprouts. (Time management was lacking this morning..:oops:)
Tonight for dinner I have some delish tomatoes. I will use them over a escarole salad with some vegan cheese avacado and homemade dressing. I am in the mood for carbs so a hunk of Italian bread may accompany the salad.

Hey guys!! Sounds like you have had a busy weekend like us.
I think my DH was ready to go to work today so he didn't have to keep working here. LOL
We worked on the deck all day Saturday. That meant going up and down the stairs to saw wood and carry up. Lots of cardio that day!! And boy did our bodies feel that so yesterday was a fun day. Drove down to a national park in SC that had a plantation house and a hiking trail. And it wasn't raining down there like here at home!! A bonus!! Anyways, we did get our walking in and had a nice relaxing day. When we got home, the bottom feel out, so no more outside plans.
Today the sun is shining and the birds are singing. I have already done laundry, dishes, made the bed, and put homemade granola in the oven. Plus, bills and talked to the DD while she was heading off to work.
Today I had shredded wheat with cranberries and light almond milk. Lunch is leftover 6 inch pizzas from dinner with lowfat ricotta, mushrooms, onions, and argula on top. Fruit for snack. Dinner is Curried Chicken Salad with nonfat greek yogurt, canola mayo, and curry powder. Chopped apples and raisins and sliced almonds added. Served over lettuce. Yummy!
Walking in the afternoon plus stretching out today. Have a good day everyone!!;)
