It is. It has been weeks with no rain. And no rain predicted anytime soon. Rain is what the firefighters are counting on to douse the fires.
We've had a drought up here in the Northeast (from MA up to the coastline of southern Maine). We're still down 10 inches of rain in MA for this time of year. At least we've been getting some rain here and there--it doesn't sound nearly as bad as what's going down in Georgia now. That's rough.
