I remember seeing a meme last year I think, but, I don't remember if it was here or not. It showed a guy in, I think the Boston area, with a notch cut out of about 4 or more feet of snow using his grill. I think that caption was How do you want you hamburger cooked. The more I think of it it was one of those comparison meme's one side was labeled, "the South" with a picture that showed a light sprinkle of snow and lines of cars stop on the highway, with a caption that asked for the guard to be sent out during this massive emergency. The other was labeled, "Meanwhile in Boston" which had the picture and caption I already described. I have been trying to find it, but, have not been successful. Maybe one of you remembers seeing it or at least knows were to find it.
I remembering seeing that on the news with my dh in the room and he said see I'm not crazy. 4 feet might be pushing it:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I had surgery a few months ago and have completely slacked off on my workout routine. I've also put on 10lbs.

We leave for WDW on 11/25 and now I'm totally freaking out.

Never been much of a fan of quick weight loss, due to the fact that I don't think it's the healthiest thing to do. I think Figgy had some good thoughts for you about maybe getting a few larger sized, fun Disney t-shirts, etc. and just enjoying your vacation. And Epcotisbest nailed it with the suggestion to do extra walking, etc. Most of us drop a few pounds after a visit to WDW. I do wish you the best.

We all have our own approach to dropping pounds and mine is the slower way--I just dropped 10 pounds but that took well over a month. My motivation was for health reasons as I saw my BP starting to inch upward and I wanted to get that down again.

Good morning I'm sticking with #SOS and today was mostly fun a mash up of kickboxing barre and light weights even the barre part was funish:hilarious:, then breakfast was a very green smoothie, greens and a green apple and a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg it almost passed for apple pie:hungry::D ok not quite but it was good. I'm heading out walking but did a LS mile of intervals just to warm enough to get out. I'm dressed like the Michelan sp? tire guy and singing in summer:facepalm:. Wish me luck &/or warmth LOL

Good morning! Today will be laundry, cleaning the house, etc. Need to be outside painting and caulking but we have so many wildfires around us that we can't get outside because of unhealthy air. The smoke is really bad and burns my nose and eyes. We are also in a drought which is not helping any. We had a 50% chance of rain yesterday and got zero. It is really bad!
So everything done is inside since last week. No walking outside for me.
Hope you all have a nice day!

Seeing you're recovering from surgery and have a trip coming up soon. DO NOT and I say this with love DO NOT over do anything and risk injury! If and only if you're up to it 21 DF once a day and spend as much time on your feet as you can, walk instead of drive, stairs instead of elevator and so on, take long walks if you can. Pounding water within reason is always a good idea. I'm not a big fan of shakes and such I think real whole food is a better option and is more filling but that's just me. Also check yogurt containers for ingredients some of them are worse than candy. If your really worried about appearance get to Hot Topic or Kohl's and get a couple of cute Disney shirts that float away from the middle besides looking cute it's a good excuse to get out and be on your feet. Good luck and welcome aboard.
Thank you. My surgery was on my face.. So it's not preventing me from working out at this point. My mindset since having 2 areas of my face sliced open and the resulting scaring/minor deformity have prevented me. Terrible excuse, but it is what it is.

I will try to get a couple of loose fitting tees, and luckily it will be cold at night so I can wear hoodies or jackets. It may sound vain, but Disney is one of the few times where my kid and I are actually in photos together, so I'd like to feel a little bit better about myself before pictures. Can't do anything now about the scars, but can do something about the weight gain.

I ran a mile and a half this morning, skipping a latte.. And just going to try to drink as much water as possible..then do a 21DF workout tonight. I think that may be better than the 2 a day videos.

Also, I don't know if you drink, but I'd knock it on the head before your vacation if you do. I had to give it up because it doesn't mix with my meds and in just a week of not drinking, my stomach is much less bloated. I was not a daily drinker, either. I was having a few glasses at the weekend and that was it.

I just can't like the fact you can't get out and walk.

Way to go! I just shivered though 2 miles of power walking. I don't run(2 bad knees) but do pretty much anything else exercise wise.:)

I have a Sunday night ritual of a glass of Chianti and a bubble bath after kiddo goes to sleep. My way to prepare for the upcoming week. I didn't do it last night after my work out, and I'll leave it out this coming Sunday as well. Once we get to WDW all bets are off though ;)

Hello-

Today was a Fitness Blender cardio/bodyweight workout. It wasn't a favorite. I don't know, it felt disjointed. I just open up the calendar and do what it says for the day. It works for me and I don't sit there and agonize over which workout to do. They can't all be 5 star workouts.

Dinner is sushi bowls. Well, they're not really sushi bowls, but I feel like if I said what was in them, I would be teased about it! LOL

I hope you and your child have a nice vacation--sounds like just what you need. Sorry to hear about the surgery on your face, and hope that the scarring will go away in time. I think WDW is the perfect place to just let your cares go away.
