Yea! It's a beautiful 34 degrees out! That give me energy, and I can't wait to get out this morning for a long walk in the woods!! Finally--some decent weather is here, as incentive to help me burn off more calories! :joyfull: :joyfull: :joyfull:

Happy frozen farm market Saturday. I started my day with #sos and I'm beyond happy it was yoga based just to get my blood flowing so I could warm up a bit. The good news is I got the last of tomatoes yesterday because we got a freeze this morning:mad::(:arghh::bawling::coldfeet::cold::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: I'm relieved I don't need much today because that means I don't need to spend much time outside:( As soon as I get back the guys will help me clean and organize my house for the holiday invasions. That means I'm going to make a veggie stew in the pressure cooker because That's about all I'll have time to do. I'm hoping all of you are having a healthy and fun weekend

You my friend need some serious help!
I'm afraid that it is way to late. She has gone to the dark side (and seems to like it). Oh, well, someone has to and it really is better then walking the streets wearing a tinfoil hat and carrying on conversations with air molecules.
I'm making a major assumption here that @MinnieM123 isn't doing that as well. ;)

This morning's walk in the woods was beautiful--nice, colder :inlove: weather (although when I went out around 8:45 AM, it had already gotten up to almost 38). But my energy level shoots through the roof when the colder temperatures set in. Sorry to disappoint you, but I wasn't wearing a tinfoil hat on my joyous nature walk. (However, in other peculiar behavior, I was saying "Good Morning" to the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks that crossed my path. :p I was just to happy with the weather! :D :joyfull: )

@epcotisbest , this will be the last barbecue of the season for moi. (When it gets dark out, it's hard to see the digital numbers on the temperature fork I use. We have a little porch light in the back, but it's not really bright enough.)

I have enough Kingsford Matchlite charcoal to grill a really nice steak I bought today at a butcher shop. It's a bone-in ribeye (cowboy steak), and I'll cut out a few ounces of it for me, and give the larger portion to hubs. This works out well for us when I buy this type of steak. I'm making a salad to go with it. :)

Bone in ribeye is one of my favorite cuts. I did a porterhouse and baked potato the other day. Baked potato on the grill is really good. Cooked the baked potato to an internal temp of 205 and it was just right (well, after adding a ridiculous amount of butter and sour cream.).

I'll never understand you're love of the cold but there's no reason for you to give up bbq this time of year. You should get yourself a light that straps to your head, most hardware stores sell them because mechanics find them helpful. My dh has a few:) BTW I'm done with outside grilling for quite a while:cold::coldfeet::cold::cold::cold::coldfeet::coldfeet::coldfeet::coldfeet::mad:

Good morning sort of it seems soup and stew season is in full swing:cold:. The good thing about soups is most people consume less calories when having soup with or as a meal. That's broth based soups not cream based, sorry to have gotten your hopes up. Also please watch the sodium level if you're not making your own. It's a zen day for me. #sos stretching:joyfull: to be followed with a nice warm bath and baking and cooking so I don't have to cook everyday.

Good general advice, and thank you. But I'm not into putting on a head lamp and throwing on a jacket every time I have to go outside in the fall/winter, and check the cooking. And more than that, there's a ton of dead leaves flying around outside, and if there's any sparks from the barbecue from flare-ups, etc., then it become a potential fire hazard. So for me, it's safer to just barbecue in the summer and a lot less aggravation. (I picked last night for this, because the winds were calm, but that's not always the case up here--it can get very windy.)

Hello-
I've been busy painting inside my house. I am still keeping up with my work outs, though.

My husband did some food shopping for Thanksgiving. He bought a 12 lb turkey, a pumpkin pie and a sweet potato pie. It is just my husband, my son and me for Thanksgiving this year. I have no idea who is going to eat all this food. I haven't even thought of sides yet.

I suggested dinner out, but he vetoed that right away.:bored:

I am doing some cardio and ab work later on.

My husband grills all year long and I think he's insane. He always finds these steaks on sale that would make Fred Flintstone jealous and fires up the grill in the middle of winter. In Chicago. :cold:

I'm getting 2, 20 plus pound birds, one goes in the smoker and the other in the oven. I'm having a small army and of course my 2 boys that eat like a small army:cautious:

Yeah, I grill year round too, but can't compare our winters to your northern winters, especially Chicago.
My dh could care less what the weather is if he has a scheduled bbq day. He once went out and BBQ'd in a blizzard and he had to shovel his way out to the smoker(several times) which he rolled out to an overhang. Not even 3 feet of snow stopped him:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
