@epcotisbest and @93boomer I hope you're all prepped and ready for the storm, be safe! @Sans Souci we should know by tomorrow morning just what to expect I really hope none of us gets hit!
Thanks for the kind wishes. We are way up in the north Georgia mountains about 300 plus miles from the coast and our forecasters say we probably won't even get any rain. My wife's Savannah office is closing today through the weekend. She does not have to go back down there until next Friday so whatever hits will most likely be cleaned up by then.@epcotisbest and @93boomer I hope you're all prepped and ready for the storm, be safe! @Sans Souci we should know by tomorrow morning just what to expect I really hope none of us gets hit!

Thank you. We should be fine. Just get some wind and a little rain possibly. My DD/SIL live closer to the coast so I am keeping an eye out to see if it affects them any. My best friend lives near Orlando so I would appreciate prayers for their safety. DH doesn't know where or when they ship out yet. Prayers for their safety as well.@epcotisbest and @93boomer I hope you're all prepped and ready for the storm, be safe! @Sans Souci we should know by tomorrow morning just what to expect I really hope none of us gets hit!
You eat as much of anything you want right now!! It will be ok.After a very sad day yesterday, I wanted some comfort food, and for me meatloaf on the grill is about as comfort food as I can get.
This one was 80/20 beef, chopped onions, chopped roasted red peppers, panko bread crumbs, 1/4 cup milk, two eggs, 1/4 cup Heinz 57, 1/4 cup salsa, some ketchup and black pepper. Topped it with a light dusting of Weber Carne Asada rub and cooked this one directly in the pan instead of on the rack over the drip pan. No smoke wood, but a handful of pecan or apple chips would have only added to the goodness. Toward the end I put on a glaze of Heinz 56 and honey.
This was very good, very moist and had a nice smoke ring too. Cooked indirect at 350 to internal temp of 160.
Won't lose much weight eating like this, but I guess I have more incentive to walk more.

That's great, who'd have ever thought a place for making sure we don't collapse on vacation would get that many views. That's what it started as any way. I'm really happy to have our little support groupSo @figmentfan423 your little thread here went to more than 100,000 views earlier and is getting close to 7,000 replies.

Be careful! Can you take a bus or taxi if need be?Well, I overdid it last week. Not much I can do about it...it was all stuff I HAD to do. I worked 3 evenings, all walking. I took my son by bike to soccer practice because my husband was working far away and got stuck in traffic. Which also meant I had to take myself to choir by bike. And I took my son to his after school program for social development by bike, and I went by bike to the doctor for an exam that I get an invitation for every 5 years. Then on Saturday, we went to the tech day and walked around there all day after standing on the sidelines of DS's soccer game. So I ended up stepping wrong and I felt the pop and there went the bursa in my hip again. So I've been taking it easy all week. I worked Monday night and I have to take my son by bike to soccer tonight because DH got into a fender bender Monday morning and had to drop the car off this morning and we will be car-less for about a week. I'm debating whether or not to call in sick to work tomorrow. Monday was ok because I just asked if I could pack instead of walk, but it's really busy right now and they've been asking people to come in even if they aren't scheduled, which I haven't done, but then I'd feel REALLY bad leaving them in the lurch when it's so busy. It does feel a TON better, BUT, I don't know how I will feel after biking to soccer tonight, plus I'll have to bike to work tomorrow if I do go because we won't have the car back yet. So I'd have to bike there at 7 and bike home sometime after 11pm, which is also scary to me. But at least the last few days of rest seem to be helping my hip.
Thank youCongratulations, Figgy, for a great thread!!
I could take a bus to work, but there are no buses back after 11 so I'd be stuck there. So nope. I'll just have to go easy, leave plenty of time so I don't have to hurry, and walk the big hills instead of riding them. It will be ok.Be careful! Can you take a bus or taxi if need be?
I must have missed something....I'm sorry you had a very sad day. Comfort food is a good thing for that. Can I ask what happened? Perfectly ok if you'd rather not say. After a very sad day yesterday, I wanted some comfort food, and for me meatloaf on the grill is about as comfort food as I can get.

Good morning the loopy loop Mathew is making is making it hard to plan anything but I do not care, tonight is bread service night for me. One piece of bread(my limit) I don't count carbs or calories but I do some what watch out. I made the mango chutney(stevia in place of sugar), an eggplant chutney with raisins is simmering now, carrots are roasting for the hummus, I'll get to an apple chutney when the eggplant is finished and the gf naan a bit before dinner. I have chick pea salad in the fridge along with some baby spinach. 5LS miles done and yoga after I kick everybody out. Seeing it's going to be a big dinner lunch will be a salad with peppers and onions. Be safe everybody!
