I was sure right about unhealthy food yesterday!! We went to the birthday party, and it's my friend's son...they are from Iran. So we had all this authentic Iranian food. There were these things like egg rolls, without egg. It was a spicy meat and potato thing in a pastry wrapper and deep fried. OMG, they were soooo good. And then she had a spread for bread and I don't know what it's called, but it's kind of like kashke bademjan. It's eggplant and herbs and then this one was red instead of green and it has a fried egg over the top. But it's also delicious....I liked it better than the kashke bademjan because it doesn't have the mint in it. I like mint, but not on my bread. Then she had another dish that she said is kind of their basis for spaghetti sauce, but it can be eaten just as it is, and it was sooooo good. Dinner wasn't too unhealthy. For one, I was still nearly full from the birthday party food. We had tapas for dinner, so it was just small bits and I only made it through 3 rounds of 2 tapas. I had spicy beef points in a sweet chili sauce, Spinach and ricotta strudel, stuffed mushrooms, onion rings (which were NOT good and I shared them with hubby. They weren't battered rings of onion. They were battered rings with some minced onion in them and you couldn't taste the onion. SO bland) and another round of the beef points and I ordered breaded goat cheese in honey, but I didn't like it, so that went to hubby, too. He's kind of a garbage disposal...he'll eat anything. So I didn't eat much at dinner, but I had enough throughout the day to thoroughly counteract any exercise I might do this week.
That sounds like so much fun. Glad you got to try and enjoy some interesting food.

Good morning! I had a great day yesterday. I found some okra at the farm market, I was really surprised because that's the one where I've never seen it before. I also stocked up on a couple of large spaghetti squashes, a few nice large bunches of chard and a few other things. I also got a few acorn squashes and popped a couple into the oven and the were surprisingly sweet considering how early in the season it is. We all had a great time at the pool which will be open through the end of this week, maybe longer depending on the weather. This morning I did some more yoga day 3 of a 3 day challenge. I'm thinking about doing a bit more yoga and a bit less weights for a bit because I seemed to have bulked up just a bit in the arms and it's nice to change things up a bit. I'm currently running the cleaning cycle in my oven because as soon as it's done I have a ton of baking to do today 4 loaves of bread and 3 or 4 dozen muffins. I have no baked goods in the freezer:eek: and an army to feed or at least a couple of boys who can eat their own weight hourly. My dh is running the smoker today so I'll make some baked beans seeing the oven is on anyway. Hope you're having fun this weekend

Good evening all.

Thursday night I came down with some sort of viral thingy. Oh, the joys of being back at school. Skipped something I was going to go to Thursday night. I took Friday off, and yesterday I still didn't feel great. If the weather had been decent, I probably would have gone for a walk, but alas, it was not. So I'm back to it today. 10 minute trampoline warm up plus 30 minutes on my exercise bike. I took it easy, didn't push it.

Tomorrow may be an off day again unfortunately if I have too much of that neverending thing called homework. I already had to work on some homework while I was on the bike. It was rather awkward.

Checking in with about an hour of yoga a nice mix of easy flow, holding poses and balance moves. I'm going to bundle up and head out walking with both groups later. I'm making 2 trays of eggplant parm today on with dairy and one dairy free and one of the spaghetti squashes I got over the weekend. BTW I'm having my eggplant naked.(sans df cheese)

Good morning. Tip of the day never do downward facing dogs while baking a chili relleno sp? casserole during allergy season. The good news is my sinuses are squeaky clean. Maybe I should have posted do them:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Downward facing dog (trying to figure out the connection to a casserole baking) o_O

This may not even be a situation anymore, but, I remember years ago having a car the stalled a lot and it was the Catalytic Converter that was plugged up, with whatever it is supposed to stop from getting to the outside air. However, the throttle body might need cleaning as well, but, is seems like that would have been the first thing they looked at.

I'm getting to the point where I will just try the easiest and cheapest way first. If there is an additive that claims to cover my problem, I give it a try. I'm really, as cynical as this sounds, starting to feel certain that the dealers just look in the repair charges software and whatever is the most expensive to repair will be what they tell you is wrong.
Yeah DH bought some additive he is going to add when my gas gets down a bit to clean it out. Hopefully, it just needs a good cleaning!

Hello-

Today is going to be leg circuit day. I really like to work out while nobody's here. I like to crank up the music and just go for it. However, my husband is working from home. They closed down his office because someone came down with pneumonia. He thought that was weird. Then I remembered that all summer was my husband was complaining about the A/C not working properly. So I am getting worried that maybe this is Legionnaire's Disease? I have never heard of closing down an office because someone gets pneumonia. Hopefully, I am worrying for nothing.

Other than that, it was a great weekend. I am getting ready to go to WDW on Friday and next Monday, I will be on the Disney Dream with some dear friends. :)

I hope it turns out to be nothing serious at your dh's office! Are you flying out of Phiily or AC?

Hello-

I am in with my legs circuit. I am always so happy when my circuits are over, even though they are only 30 minutes.

The reason they closed the office was because my husband's boss wanted a company to come in and deep clean and fix the AC after finding out someone had been diagnosed with pneumonia. My husband is a federal bank examiner and they work in a branch of the bank they examine. All summer long, the bank branch was having issues with AC that would cause the office to get up into the mid 80s on some days and people would be sent home because of it. So, I think his boss used the pneumonia scare to get the bank to fix the AC once and for all.

Anyway, I am making chili in my Instant Pot (electric pressure cooker). There's a small learning curve with it, but I am catching on. It's like a slow cooker on steroids. :)
