working out for Disney

OK one last thing...walked this morning, probably got in a few miles at Celebration. Negated all that at Joe's Crab Shack a little while ago. Had a coupon for a free appetizer and we got 18 steamed shrimp and they were good sized shrimp. Then we had fish and shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Yes, Joe's is a chain, but we like it, and with the coupon, and drinking water, with tip we got out of there for about $22. Not too bad.

Well THAT doesn't sound bad then. My BIL or someone was telling me that they only have one restaurant, and it's a pre-fix menu, so if you don't like what they are serving, you are SOL. And a friend of mine goes on cruises all the time and she posts pics on her facebook and they are always really formal and it's fancy food, which I want something simple and recognizable. So it's all intimidating and scary. But if there are snack bars and things like that, and I know I'm not going to have to starve if I don't like what they are serving in the main restaurant, then it doesn't sound as scary. I'd still have to look into anti-nausea stuff for the motion sickness, but it sounds like it might actually be an option some day. Thanks!

My brother and his wife recently went on a Bahamas cruise and he said the best part was the wide variety, quantity and quality of the food.

Looks like you are having a good time!! I'm jealous! I would like to be back on vacation! I can do without Florida heat, though.

I did a bit of looking last night...just real quick, and since the top of my bucket list is Italy, I looked at Mediterranean cruises, and there was a 12 day cruise for only 1000 Euros per person. Well...starting at that. I didn't have a whole lot of time to look, so I'll have to look closer later, but that's not bad for nearly 2 weeks!

You might want have to have a look at MSC. The Med is their turf.

I did a 7 night Disney Mediterranean cruise a year ago and it was a lot of fun. Disney is a bit more expensive than other mass market cruise lines. But, if your kids love meeting characters and Disney all around, it might be worth looking into for you. The food is very "middle-of-the-road" on DCL, too. That's either a plus or a minus for people. ;) But, DCL is more expensive than other lines in the same class. Now that I have moved to NJ, I am open to try other lines, since i can drive to either Bayonne or NYC.

There is also so much to keep your kids occupied, too.

The downside is their Med cruise leave from Barcelona, so you'd have to get there.

Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend!

I spent Saturday taking my mom around her town to get her errands done and food shopping. Managed a 30-minute QuickFix arms & legs workout before I left the house. Came home and marinated a London broil in teriyaki sauce, and served it with pineapple rice and steamed snow peas. Yesterday, housecleaning chores and laundry were my workout! Pushing the vacuum cleaner vigorously can work up a sweat. :)

I'm off to spend some time with a friend, we'll visit the NY Botanical Garden and then have lunch. Walking the NYBG will be most of my exercise for the day, but I did 20 minutes of cardio abs before breakfast.

And not all that unusual once one rips themselves from the exile of Disney onsite living. I know I enjoy a $22. meal much more then a hundred dollar one. It makes me feel all warm inside. :)
