working out for Disney

Lovely morning today. Got in a couple of miles walk. It was nice and crisp, mid 60s, slight breeze and many birds chirping to welcome the sunrise and say hello to another day. (Or maybe they are saying "Hey man, the early bird gets the worm, but why are you up so early when you are not out looking for worms?")

Watched a little bit of GMA this morning while making breakfast. What a bunch of giggling airheads. Had to turn it off, open up the door and listen to the birds. (Are they still mocking me?)
The birds and I are chirping way to go!

I don't even know who hosts GMA anymore. I know it's supposed to ease you into the day, but excessive perkiness when I am trying to wake up is too much. And yes, some of the morning hosts act like if you pulled on their earlobes, a hissing noise would come out. I wish women would stop acting like that.

It is not just the women on there. It is a group effort at early morning goofiness. The guys are just as empty headed.

OK- I am in with Body Combat. I used 1 lb gloves with this one, because there's a lot of punching. I figure I'll get some toning in maybe. ;)

The company that I subscribe to for streaming is based in New Zealand, so most of the instructors are New Zealanders. I told my husband he might like some of the workouts (because there is something for everyone) and he said "the accents are distracting." My husband was born and raised in England, so I found that a bit hypocritical. :rolleyes:

Good morning, no make that it's a great morning! I was getting just a bit bored so yesterday I looked through a few workouts on youtube and found Crunch Bootcamp. I love it bit haven't done it in forever so today was the day! It's a fun and good workout best of all almost everybody can do i! I used heavier weights and got a great upper body in and some lower body but not so much that I will have problems getting in lots of walking later. YUP it's going near 80 and will be sunny:inlove::inlove::inlove: I also got in my day 23 practice, I lucked out as it was perfect for today:joyfull: I'm making veggie unfried rice with eggs for the boys today and my dh is having a smoothie just like me:joyfull: He just realized 80 days to Disney and he wants to drop 20 pounds. The next few weeks should be interesting. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid like a crash diet:hilarious: Have a most magical, healthy and strong day!

Good morning 5 fat burning miles and day 22 and I liked this practice. On this week's to do list figure out which workout dvds I'm bringing to Disney and what equipment. My current thinking is 5 pound weights, stretch bands, belt with stretchies and a yoga mat.
I've been thinking about that too, but I think I might just have to wear my weights on my wrists to keep the weight limit for the luggage. That's an advantage of traveling by car...no weight limit. But I won't be able to bring my stuff with me, so I think I'll wear my 1 kilo weights on my wrists so I don't have to pack them. Then I have at least SOMETHING with me. I wish I could bring a yoga mat, but it takes up way too much space!!

My hip is killing me today. I didn't do a workout yesterday because I didn't have time. We had our big concert and we had pictures first so we were there all afternoon and evening and I had to get everything ready in the morning. I had to go by bus because hubby was at work and I didn't have enough room in my bike bags for all my stuff, plus I didn't want to arrive for photos all sweaty and red-faced. But I got to the bus stop and they are doing construction on the street so that bus wasn't going. So I had to walk to another bus stop further away, that also didn't get as close to my destination, so it involved a bit of walking, then we walked across the city center for half the pictures, and then back. And we had an hour long rehearsal where we were on our feet the whole time and then a 2 hour concert where we didn't get to sit and I'm thinking maybe that aggravated my hip? But I stepped wrong this morning and it kind of popped and it's been hurting. So I took today off and hopefully it will be better tomorrow. But, I have definitely lost weight because I am wearing a blouse I haven't been able to wear for a while because the buttons were strained across my stomach and now I have a bit of extra room. So yay!

Oh hey! That's the woman who does the Pilates for Beginners that I wanted to try. I just did a search on youtube for Pilates for Beginners and hers showed up and that's the one I am planning to try out. Thanks!

If you sign up for her email, she provides monthly rotations of her workouts. I think she has a beginner's rotation, too.

Way to go!!!!!!!! Congrats on the loss!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be careful and get better very soon, it's not much longer before you get to the states and can get some smaller and cuter clothes!

Oh I hope so!!! I so want cute clothes!! And boots....I want to fit into boots, but my calves are too big. So many cute things out there just waiting for me to be smaller so I can give them a good home.

It's so perfect out ok could be a bit warmer but 82 isn't bad for May. 9 glorious warm miles today. 3 of which were spent breaking in footwear for Disney. 2 pairs of flip flops ready to go 2 still need a bit of use:joyfull:
