working out for Disney

I finally got to my dance workout. I think I am getting better, but I am quite sure I don't look as slick as the people in workout. (I probably never will, either.) But I had fun and I am surprised at the number of calories I burned. I used to sniff at dance workouts, but these make you work. LOL

You've got to be slicker than me doing Zumba! Seriously 6 left feet!:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Another great morning JM's kickboxing and the day 24 practice which was a gentle meditative one with a nice shivasana:):):) easy was good after yesterday's upper body work. I was worried about being in down dog a long time or too many yoga push ups but it worked out perfectly:joyfull: The weather is going to be even better today so more walking for me:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: Everybody is having a smoothie for breakfast, salads for lunch with homemade guacamole dressing and baked fish with brown rice and broccoli for dinner. I'm going to skip the fish and have some baked tofu and my dh claims he's skipping the rice:cautious: we'll see about that:rolleyes: I mean we'll see about my dh LOL Have a wonderful healthy day!

My hip is still hurting, though not as bad as yesterday, but I'm taking it easy today. I'm going to have to be standing a lot because I have a cheesecake, a birthday cake, and truffles to make for the first of 3 parties for DD's birthday.

I didn't do a work out per se today, but I went for a 90 minute walk. I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. There is just a lot of stuff going on in my life right now, sometimes I need to get away from everything and everyone to make sense of things. I guess it's like a moving meditation. Tomorrow, I will do my weights/Body Pump.

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I was so tired last night. I was struggling to stay awake and I looked at the time. It was 8:30! LOL I managed to make it until 9:30. :hilarious: Then I took a nap today and I never sleep in the day unless I am ill.

Sometimes your body and mind get together and say "that's it, time for a break" So I'm glad you decided to do just that, besides a 90 minute walk is nothing to sneeze at! I hope you life gets more settled and everything works out. Wishing you nothing but the best! xoxo

Good morning another early day here:) LS's 5 advance miles and day 25 done. Yea only 5 more days. The good thing about the practices it's helped me get back into yoga, the bad it's a bit too easy. It's warm so I'm going to get my walking done early before the rain we may or may not get. Today's food a repeat of yesterday except the fish will be salmon instead of cod. Me I still have some baked tofu LOL Have a magical day and a great weekend

We all have days like that!! When my kids were really little I used to go to bed before 9 every night because I was so exhausted.

Has your husband found a new job yet?

I could just cry...my hip is back to hurting just as much as before. I don't know if I can get another injection or not...I guess I will have to call the doctor and ask because I can not have this level of pain if we're in Disney! I CAN'T. Not to mention not being able to work out, which I REALLY want to do and NEED to do. And yesterday, I got out an old pair of pants that are a size smaller and they fit. I feel like I'm doing well, so now my body betrays me.

Sympathy like. Yes call your doctor ASAP! Please be careful but do not give up on working out. You can do both aerobics and upper body while seated. You can sit and punch, do shoulder presses, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks and so on. You can lie on your back and do chest presses and such. Good luck and get well soon! I'm pulling for you

Good morning!! I have been outside most of this week working in the yard and my garden. My veggies are loving these showers we are getting. I planted a tomato plant, zucchini, cucumber, peas, green beans, mesclun lettuce, spinach, kale, Swiss chard, and a pepper plant. I also planted sunflowers and nasturtium.
Cleaning the house today and doing laundry. Hoping to hike again this weekend.

Home early today. Got a huge rack of ribs on the grill. Rubbed them with mustard and Dreamland rub. Will do a 2-2-1 cook and serve with a salad.
They are smoking along right now with apple wood smoke at 225 degrees. Will take them off the smoker at 2 hours, coat with butter and honey, wrap in foil and put back on for two more hours, then unwrap and put back on for one more hour. 2-2-1. Delicious.

THAT is a fantastic idea! I'm so doing that! I did figure out today that if I stand up but don't immediately put weight onto that leg, but just kind of stretch it a little bit for a few seconds, I can walk slowly with minimal pain. I'm slow as molasses, but at least it's not debilitating.
