Hello-

I have been active, just not posting. I changed up my workouts a bit. I did a fair bit of cardio this week. I used a couple of videos from You Tube. I also did a DVD that was called "Piloxing", which is a mix of boxing, pilates and dance. It was a novel workout for me and not really repetitive, which I love. I get bored easily. LOL

I took today off, because I was taking my leggings off after my workout in the bathroom. They were compression leggings, so they are a bit troublesome to remove. I was pulling and pulling my foot out and it eventually flew out. My foot hit the toilet so hard, I felt sick from the pain afterwards. I am hobbling around today. It is very tender and I think giving it some rest will only help.

My husband has a FaceTime/Skype job interview for a job in London on Tuesday. Any kind of positive thoughts are appreciated.

I am going out later, so I am looking forward to that.

Here is the video I did yesterday, in case anyone wants a new workout to do. They use barbells, but you could easily use dumbbells. I didn't go as heavy as I could, because I wanted to walk today. I am still sore, but not as bad as I could have been. :)

I'm so sorry you got a new boo boo. I hope it's just a quick sting and gone type of thing. I'm so glad you enjoyed piloxing and I agree it's a lot of fun. I'm going to try and sneak some time in for it this week. I've been very focused on yoga. I wish there was enough time to fit in all the fun workouts out there, oh well, life what can you do LOL. Congrats to your dh and I'm sending prayers and pixie dust for both your dh and your foot. xoxo

Good morning and I'm doing nothing, that's right I said nothing today! I did 11 miles between a dvd and getting outside yesterday so I'm taking today off. ok I may do some simple twisting when I get home from the grocery store later but that's it. @Songbird76 please ease back into exercise. I hope all of you are having a great weekend. xoxo

Compression leggings can be a bit of battle to put on or take off! Sorry you hit your foot, and I hope the discomfort is only temporary.

Best wishes to your hubby on his interview for London. (I know that the other job location offered to him, was not your first choice for living.)

You so deserve a day off!
I ended up getting way more exercise than I expected today. It's quite a hike from the parking lot to the sheep pen to begin with, and it's uphill the whole way. Then we hiked the trail a bit behind the sheep area, up to a scenic spot overlooking the hills that are covered in heather. I'm betting it's GORGEOUS when the heather is in bloom. But we must have walked a mile and a half or more, which doesn't sound like much, but my hip felt pretty dead afterwards. You know how when you work out so hard that your limbs feel really heavy, like you literally can't take another step because you just don't have the energy? That's the feeling I had in my hip. The rest of me was fine, but I had to take it really slowly because I just couldn't move that leg any faster. So...slow and steady wins the race right now, I guess.

I'm so sorry about your foot! How is it today?
I thought your husband was taking a job in NJ? Or am I mixing you up with someone else? London would be nice, right? You lived there before, didn't you? Positive thoughts, prayers and pixie dust coming your (his) way!

Yes, he did get a job offer, but it went silent. He's still interviewing with places just to cover his backside. My husband is from England and I think he liked being closer to his family for a change, since he is the only one here. My MIL came to London one last time before we were drop kicked back here and she was really upset that we had to leave. I think she liked seeing my son (and her son) more frequently.

Thanks for the positive thoughts. :)

Yes, I really liked Piloxing. My foot is still a bit swollen, but much better today. I am going to try another Piloxing DVD later., since it's low impact. I bought a 5 DVD set and I am liking it so far. I know how you feel about "so many workouts, too little time." LOL

Thanks!

I ordered these leggings from Old Navy and I didn't even realize they were compression leggings when I bought them. It was like a scene from a movie, I was tugging and pulling and my foot was finally freed, but it hit the toilet. I fell down and everything. I am laughing thinking about it now, but it was pretty painful when it happened. LOL

Between your hip, my hip and my foot, we're like a baseball team's DL. :hilarious:

I hope your hip starts feeling better again. That sounds so frustrating.

Hello,

I am checking in with Piloxing, Round two. I like these discs, but I think this set is expensive for what you get. There are three, 50 minute workouts and two, 16 minute power toning DVDs. It also came with 2 half-pound gloves, a rotation calendar and an "eating plan." I really only wanted the discs, because I have a pair of 1 lb gloves.

But they are different for me. I like her, even though she is a bit "shout-y". Plus there is this one (the only one) guy in the back who looks like he's having so much fun and he makes me laugh. LOL

Good morning sort of LOL it's raining. I cornered the market on broccoli and green beans. Time to get creative. Tonight I'm making white beans with onions, mushrooms, green beans a bit of garlic and I'm thinking about adding a bit of liquid smoke for flavor. I'll just play around until it smells right:confused: Today is going to be 2 rounds of ripped in 30. :) It's out so I might as well do it. The rain may get spotty later so I'm sure I stroll later.

Weird...he gets an offer and then they just don't contact him again? Well, hopefully he'll get something somewhere that you'll be happy, too.

I had to look up Piloxing, but it looks kind of like Turbo Jam but lower impact and some floor work...is that pretty accurate?

Well, it feels fine today (knock on wood), but I'm not going to push it. As much as I want to just jump right back in, I know I can't...so since I got a good hike in yesterday, I'm resting today, though I will probably ride my bike to the Centrum today to get some bees wax so we can make lip gloss for DD's birthday party. But, there are no hills and it's only about 12 minutes or so...not a huge stress, Then I'll see how I feel tomorrow and if I'm still fine, I'll go for a walk through the nature park. I'll just do little bits every day and build it up slowly until I can really get back in the swing. Hope you are feeling better. How's your hip? Did you see the doctor about it?

Mmmm....Broccoli and Green beans. Yum! You actually just reminded me of a recipe I haven't made for AGES and I need to get it back out and dust it off. I don't remember how to make it but I know it involved green beans and cherry tomatoes with basil and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese, but I don't remember the rest! We are having Köfta tonight....it has zucchini and tomatoes in it. Yummmm.

Yes, that's what drew me to it. She does it in her socks. I don't mind high impact, but after a while, my leg joints get cranky. These work outs fly by and they are not repetitive.

I love to roast broccoli and then make a "dressing" with freshly squeezed lemon juice and olive oil. I put it on after the broccoli comes out of the oven and hit it with sea salt and cracked black pepper. It's so simple, yet so flavorful.

Hello-

I went for a long walk today. My house is being remodeled, so I didn't want to work out in front people working in my house. It wasn't super warm today, but it wasn't as nasty as it was over the weekend. I think tomorrow is a Body Pump day, since the workers won't be here. I think my foot will be ready for lunges tomorrow, too. I had a chicken and veggie stir fry with jasmine rice tonight.

Tomorrow is my husband's London interview. *fingers crossed* :)
