Good morning 5 advanced miles Leslie Sansone. I'm going to get a bit creative in the kitchen today with a bit of this and a bit of that. I have to empty out my fridges because the birds are coming tomorrow.

So besides exercising, we are eating better and that makes a huge difference.
I prepare supper on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, my wife on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and we eat out or have take out only on Wednesdays now (used to be several nights per week or more).
Last night I made jambalaya, collard greens and cornbread. Ok, so what is healthy about that? Well for one, smaller portions, but also it replaces what used to might have been fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried squash, biscuits and a dessert, so lots less calories and carbs, but still filling and flavorful. I also grill a lot.

Grilled leg quarters...they were served with grilled veggies that if you look closely were cooked at the same time as the chicken, in a pan below the bird. I tossed the veggies with some olive oil, red pepper flakes, minced garlic and black pepper. Very good and the smoky flavor of the veggies gives them a nice, different flavor.

OK- no workout today. Last night, I started feeling queasy and I went to bed with a headache. I have been up since 3 AM. I still don't feel right and my appetite is not there. It's just like a low-level nausea and fatigue. It's not a full blown stomach virus and I hope it stays that way. LOL

I looked at my calendar and I have worked out 6 days in a row this week, so this is probably a good place for a pause, anyway.

Yes it's a very good place for a day off! I do hope it's nothing serious and please take care of yourself. xoxo

Good morning and I've been up for a bit. 5 mile fat burning walk Leslie Sansone just to get my steps in. Holiday crazy begins today so it's up and get moving super early for the assorted errands I have to run. I'm packing a nice large assorted veggie salad for lunch and the cooler full of ice packs is going in the trunk for the last stop of the day, picking up of the birds. have a great weekend and be healthy.
