Do you have the discs? Or do you have to make some sort of disc yourself? I've heard of things like steppers, or the exercise ball, or the little weights, but I've never seen a workout with discs before.

I do have the discs. They're also called gliders. This workout is part of a larger set called," The Low Impact Series" and the instructor did a pre sale for this. If you pre-ordered, she threw the discs in free. I think you can find them on Amazon. :)

Good afternoon.

Checking in with the cardio portion of a DVD called "10 Pounds Down: Weight Loss Cardio Mix" and an arm workout from You Tube. Now it's time to start dinner. :)

Today is lots of walking as the temps are up and the winds are down. I'm going to get around my lake 2 times today and may just putter around outside for the heck of it. first walk is with the fast walkers as soon as the school bus leaves. I also put Shiva Rea's lower body practice in the DVD player, I know I'll do it if it's in there. Have a great and healthy day

I did a lower body workout today, too.

I did this video followed by a 13 minute stretch. I am posting these workout because they are free (although the disc one wasn't. I linked that so people would know what I was talking about.) :)

Thank you for sharing. I bet your tushie feels that one today.

I'm loving the free stuff on youtube. Today was Jessica Smith's 20 minute weight loss yoga. I really am trying to mix things up a bit but seeing it was only 20 minutes I had to do a couple of miles with Leslie Sansone LOL I'm heading out with the slow walkers today. It's a bit nippy so the morning group wants to stay warm and inside. I may bundle up and head out for a short walk just to stretch. Have a magical day.

I'm a bit sore today. I rode my new bike to the Centrum twice yesterday because I went once and forgot that stores don't open here until the afternoon on Mondays. I've always had to work on Mondays so I never ran errands. But I didn't have to work until last night, and the weather was decent yesterday during the day and was supposed to be bad today. So I went yesterday, but the stores were closed, so I had to go back in the afternoon, only to find the stuff I wanted never came in. But then the weather got bad in the afternoon...REALLY windy and a bit rainy. So when I went to work, it was tough biking. I have 2 really steep hills to go up and I barely made it up the first one with the wind against me, so for the 2nd one, I had to set the gears down a notch. By the time I got to work, my legs felt like jelly from pedaling so hard, and then I had to walk all 4 hours of work. At least by the time I came home, it was dry and not as windy, so the bike ride home wasn't nearly as bad. But I'm sore today. Not bad, but just annoying.

I'm glad you got to enjoy your new bike before the bad weather set in, but please take it easy today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hamstrings were sore today, so I worked my upper body with some cardio intervals. I like Fitness Blender's strength training workouts, but I am "meh" on their cardio. I might go for a walk later. It's rainy and windy, so I'll see.

Off to shower and start dinner. :)

I did! I didn't really have a choice. My body was so tired. And last night I couldn't ride my bike to choir because of the weather. I got a ride home from one of the other women in choir and I opened the door and the wind tried really hard to blow it shut on me. I finally got out and the wind knocked me off balance. It was BAD. They said on the news this morning that it knocked over some trees. It picked up our trampoline and moved it several feet, and it was strong enough to set off a car alarm in the middle of the night.

Sympathy like I hope you have better weather today for biking!

Just checking in with Jillian Michael's 30 day shred and some extra upper body. I did get out but it's cold and windy so I didn't go all the way around my lake:( just a very quick 1 1/2 miles to get some air.

Hey Figgy!
Yeah, we are fine, just been busy with a couple of trips, both business and pleasure, and have not logged on here in awhile.
A couple of weekends ago we went to Pensacola for the Blue Angels homecoming airshow, the second time we saw them in two weeks. Great show and we had great seats. Will post a few pics.
Things are getting nasty here today with a forecast of 2-5 inches of rain and high winds with the possibility of downed trees and clogged drains due to falling leaves. Could be an interesting next several hours.
I weighed this past weekend and have dropped below 220lbs for the first time in a very long time. 218 and counting. Will probably only drop to 205-210 or so then go on an effort at maintenance rather than losing weight, but since I have been losing slowly, maintenance should not be too difficult as I have made lifestyle and food changes more than just trying a diet.
More veggies, more protein and a lot of grilling, as I enjoy grilling. With my egg grill, grilling in colder weather is no problem as it holds temps very well even in cold weather.
Anyway, thanks for thinking of me and thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks everyone here for setting a fine example and leading with encouragement and motivation.
