Okay, guys, I made my first (I'm sure not my last mistake) I rode 2 1/2 hours on the bike. After this morning's 30 minute ride, I broke some blood vessels in my leg and my lower back is telling me to take it easy. How many days should I take to get better?

I would say it depends on how you feel. With my hip, the doctor said one week, but after one week I could barely walk much less work out. It's been a month and I'm just now to the point where I think I can do one of those walking workouts @figmentfan423 posted. How much pain are you in?

Well, I'm no doctor, but I'd say to give this a week anyway. It did seem like you were spending a lot of time on the bike, and you've only had it for about a week. Maybe once your leg and back feel better again, cut down your time sessions to at least half. You'll still be getting exercise, but most likely, without further injury. Some advice from one of my bosses who is a nurse: sometimes you need to go slower, to go faster (in your recovery).

Sympathy like don not even try and do anything today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See how you feel in a day or 4. Sometimes it's just a bit of eeek I over did it and it could also be an injury. If you're still sore later call your doctor. Most importantly when you start back ease back in do not go over 30 minutes your first time back on. xoxo

Good morning it's going to be raining cats and ferrets all day:(:(:( It's going to be warm but down pours and walking don't mix. So it's LS's 5 mega miles and I'm going to find a practice for relaxation this afternoon if I have the time when I get back home. I'm really happy about adding yoga back into my rotation :joyfull::joyfull: I think it more than makes up for the rain today. My blender is going to get quite the workout today as it's a chocolate berry smoothie for breakfast and my clean the gut smoothie (spinach, cucumber, celery, turmeric, garlic and ginger) for snack. Have a great day and be careful.

It's better today, good morning. I'm going to stay off the bike and walk around the grocery store. I'm putting turmeric in my eggs this morning, I've read it's good for inflammation.

I didn't get my yoga in today. I got sick and today was my son's birthday. We were supposed to go out to the restaurant of his choice, but we had to get carry outs from it instead. Ugh.

I am thinking I will be able to pick up where I left off tomorrow. :)
So sorry about getting sick on son's birthday, I hope you are feeling better. I remember one year the whole family came down with strep throat on Christmas, that was not fun.

The same thing happened to me when I got back to exercising, I over did it and couldn't do anything but walk around the mall for a few days. You have the best attitude and I know you'll be back soon with a lesson learned. take it easy and build up to more time bit by bit.

Thanks @figmentfan423. You get so excited, getting back to exercising, you forget that time has gone by, and the body has gone with it!;)

Sympathy like. That's the pits! I had to cancel my son's birthday party one year because I had a raging sinus infection and bronchitis and had ZERO energy to make a cake or anything. How old is your son? Is he really upset or does he understand? Feel better soon!
