Hubby is currently riding the bike. I may have to fight him for it later!
See, you are half way there to giving up the margaritas just by thinking about the unnecessary calories and what you would do with the money saved. That thinking helped me cut way back on diet soft drinks. Gave them up completely for about a year, but now I have about one per day, sometimes two, which is still better than how many I used to drink.Another great idea, nothing is labeled, so I'll have to do research on the calories. The cost, I would like to put that money into eating better, and maybe some left over for Disney!
So how did you do these? Did you wrap them in foil?Roasted veggies, either on the grill or in the oven, have become a staple for us. Local farmer's markets make it easier, but the fresh, local grown stuff is now over for this year. Winter is on the way and exercising and eating better becomes a bigger challenge.
My dh gave up all soda once we got back from our last trip, not to say he never has one but no more buying the stuff by the case. He's managed to buy a few gadgets with the money saved.See, you are half way there to giving up the margaritas just by thinking about the unnecessary calories and what you would do with the money saved. Did you do something else so your body doesn't crave the diet soda, alcohol, or any bad habit. I've had an afternoon cocktail for years. It was how I dealt with back pain . I couldn't take prescription pain killers, so I would sit down and have my afternoon margarita. Now, I realize it's a very bad habit.See, you are half way there to giving up the margaritas just by thinking about the unnecessary calories and what you would do with the money saved. No, I put them in a foil-lined pan, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with spices then put the pan in the grill on indirect heat and cook for about an hour at 350 to 375. Has to be indirect or the bottom burns before all the veggies get tender. I use a ceramic kamado grill with a ceramic plate setter for the indirect cooks. So how did you do these? I struggled at first as it seemed like an addiction, but eventually the cravings go away. Encourage him to drink lots of water, maybe with some lemon squeezed in.My dh gave up all soda once we got back from our last trip, not to say he never has one but no more buying the stuff by the case. No, just cold turkey with me, except I did and still do drink lots of water. Maybe the water, staying well hydrated, helped to not want other stuff to drink.Did you do something else so your body doesn't crave the diet soda, alcohol, or any bad habit. Forgot to mention I do drink more coffee than I should, and that is the caffeine substitute.Did you do something else so your body doesn't crave the diet soda, alcohol, or any bad habit. They are adorable, I forgot to mention, that I love doggies. They are so cute. Just got off the bike, for my first 30 minutes. I need to break up the time, right now.The two mischief makers, both rescues and about two years difference in ages.

Enjoy and don't spend too much LOLHubby is finally ready to go. Off to the bookstore and Whole Foods.
Well, I looked at all the vegan and vegetarian books. Too much to learn, I'm going with my own plan, meatless at lunch, and beans and brown rice and try quinoa for breakfast, with an added apple and cinnamon. I don't get bored with food and I don't change too much often. I do like adding peppers, onion, and beans to veggies. Last week was black beans. This week great northern beans. Next week kidney beans. That's enough change for me. As they say, you can't teach an old dog new tricks!Enjoy and don't spend too much LOL
Yeah, I've discovered when I do mine in the oven, I have to do it at about 350 and stir it every 15 to 20 minutes or they burn to the cookie sheet, which I cover with baking paper because they won't stick to that. But tonight, I ran out of time and had to do the chicken and the veggies at the same time, and the chicken has to be done at 425, so I just stirred more often, but they did get a tiny bit burned on one side. They were good, but not as good as usual. BUT, I also made butternut squash for the first time...I think the last time I had squash was when I was about 6. It was sooooooo good. No, I put them in a foil-lined pan, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with spices then put the pan in the grill on indirect heat and cook for about an hour at 350 to 375. I know how you feel about squash, I'm very new with this vegetable. Only had it once in my life. But, the roasted veggies are the way to go....they are so good, and I'm so glad I like beans.Yeah, I've discovered when I do mine in the oven, I have to do it at about 350 and stir it every 15 to 20 minutes or they burn to the cookie sheet, which I cover with baking paper because they won't stick to that. I forgot to say, all my doggies have been rescues. They make the best buddies! I don't have a buddy at the moment, as we are traveling more, and I always hate leaving them behind. I'm thinking in about 5 more years, we won't be traveling as much. And I want to give an older doggie, a good last of life. We have tile on our floors, so elderly "accidents" don't matter. I have room rugs, so they can either be tossed in the washer, or sent to the cleaners. The two mischief makers, both rescues and about two years difference in ages.
