There's actually a lot of these topics in the "Frontiers of Medicine" area. Not quite up to date, and not featured prominently, but there's a wealth of information over there.
the science of micro machines in health care and surgery is incredible. taking off in the mid 90's (if my memory serves) these micro tools help in many areas including blood clots, surgerys, and many other fields.

As sarcastic as you are, it is unlikely that the company would spend money to make a ride look nice for its demolition.
ahhhh yes, basically you are saying what i said..... just not in a sarcastic tone..... meaning, you just repeated what i said. :lookaroun

I hear there is a meeting or conference scheduled in the lounge at WoL on May 27th. Any word on what this gathering will be about?
I could be wrong, but I think WoL is used for mostly private events now, so I doubt this means anything.

I disagree... It is not like Disney to clean up an unused attraction just for a normal meeting. They would not have to clean it up like that. I believe that they are trying to make it look nice so that they can grab a new sponser.

I have to disagree with you here again. I have to ask:Why would Disney rip out the pavillion's eatery and shop if they wanted it to "look nice" for a new sponsor?

Perhaps so they can say to a potential sponsor "And these areas are open for whatever you want to suggest should go in there" kinda like the GM showroom for Test Track.

Well said, in fact, if a medicine company hopped on, they could show medical news and demonstrations there or have a medical scientist guest speak each day... good thinking numbah 6

Maybe WDI are going to present a super new attraction to go in the pavillion, with the last slide of the presentation being - "so.... who wants to pay for it?"

The attraction itself being ready for Epcot's 25th!?!?!

It is probally either demolition or a new sponcer is coming in WHEN disney re-does the entire pavilion, meaning HUGE refirbishment, like what the land just went through, with another big e-ticket.

Just so you know, the Tower of Life USED to look like this:

A BIG thank you to those who decided to repaint it. Disney could have left it sitting there - even when it reopens for the season - but they decided to refurbish it. :sohappy:So next time you're at Wonders, compare the freshly painted Tower of Life to what I just posted and take in the rehab. :D

Not true, the tower was at least filled with color... and rust... but not like the underwater piping shown, that has always been there...

Burn, baby, burn!

LOL. Sorry, but I have no affection for WoL. I was underwhelmed when it opened, even more so when I got old enough to realize that much of the "health" information offered was outdated from the begining.

Why they kept this hunk and destroyed WoM and Horizons is beyond me. I know some people have affection for certain components (mainly "cranium command") but one little cute show is not enough to keep that eyesore alive. It looks like bad show when compared to the beauty of the M:S and UoE buildings it's between.
