The Black Swan experience... Man, now I just want a Russia pavilion at Epcot that runs abbreviated performances of Tchaikovsky ballets in a theater.

Why aren't Rescuers or Bambi? Or how about Bedknobs and Broomsticks? Even more modern, how about Tomorrowland outside its name sake land? Or Hunchback? Or "throw any random Disney film name in here".

Disney has plenty of "Disney" IPs they don't utilize in and around the Parks, so it should be no surprise they don't utilize any from 20th Century and Searchlight.

I wish they would do all of those as attractions. I really miss the Hunchback stage show in the round. Were is our Mary Poppins ride?

I'm sure as time goes on the 20th Century IP will be added to the Parks. For example if Uni ever drops Simpsons I would imagine Disney doing something with them in the Parks.

Not to keep this thread derailed, but I wouldn’t mind them building a real Simpsons coaster using the same tech being used for the new Donkey Kong coaster.

I think they could make it work in HS but I agree it’s not a good fit for any Disney park. Disney may own Fox but I don’t think people will ever associate the Fox properties with Disney the way they do Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, etc.

There were rumors swirling over the weekend of Uni dropping the Simpsons IP earlier than 2028 when the current contract supposedly ends. So you maybe seeing Simpsons in a Disney Park sooner than rather than later.....

Oh, I heard the rumors. Doesn't mean I like any of it.

I don't care for any of the acquired IP in the parks. Adding more just continues to take away what makes Disney special. At what point are they all just generic theme parks with a mish mash of IPs they happen to own at that moment in time?

I can't comment on Robot Dreams as I haven't seen it, but I am happy for Across the Spider-verse, The Boy and the Heron, Nimona and Elemental being nominated. Elemental is just as good as the old PIxar movies were and I'm glad it wasn't shut out due to a "Disney is failing" narrative. Would have liked to see Suzume get some recognition, but maybe once I see Robot Dreams I'll end up feeling like it's a good choice.

I am shocked Once Upon A studio didn't get an Oscar nom. I thought it was universally liked.

It’s kind of shocking though that OUAS and Wish were completely shut out. Seems like the brand damage extends further than a bunch of YT neckbeards? Maybe the academy members are still smarting over Iger’s less than deft handling of the union stuff.
