I can kinda see why there putting all this end, but why cant they let be what be. I mean, the movie wasnt all that, and the reason it probably was a success was because it had depp and that other guy in it. I found it ok, and not as half as good as everyone else thought of it. Ive never seen HM, but I probably would have liked it more then I did POC. If the dude thats in POC was in HM, HM would probably have been a hit itself.

I liked the Haunted Mansion as well, but only because of it's Music, it's Sets, and the Mansion itself (OMG) All in all, the rest of the movie wasn't scary enough (until the end, when they revealed "THE BUTLER DID IT" and he was a total nutcase, haha) But if they added Jennifer Tilly to The Haunted Mansion and made her a hologram effect within the ball, and made her do theexact same lines, and if they made the whole Seance room to be kinda like the movie's, then I would like that A LOT, because that was a great place. Having us rotate around her was a good idea, but when they tried making that effect in the movie, it waaaaaas... well, too sped up.

Anyway, back to Pirates...

If they put Elizabeth on the "Wicked Wench/Black Pearl" and while Barbossa was spweing out lines to the Fortress, he was arguing with her, that'd be awesome. It would then lead into a multiple story to follow, where you find Jack trying to find the treasure, and Will trying to save Elizabeth. The boat leads you through the town until it finally gets you to an encounter between Barbossa, Will, and Jack in the treasure room, and in the end, all is well when Jack gets his treasure, and Will and Elizabeth find each other. Jack is busy humming a tune while Will thanks you for your help in getting Elizabeth back.

I think that would be kinda cute ^_^

I loved Ramsley and, of course, I always love Wallace Shawn, no matter what he's in.

Okay, back on topic. Am I the only one who doesn't think the Barbossa figure... looks that impressive? Something doesn't sit right with me about it, but I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just because he's too well lit. He doesn't seem dark and sinister enough. His facial expression makes him look more like a frightened old man who took a wrong turn looking for the bathrooms and came out atop the Wicked Wench.

... and is inexplicitly dressed like a pirate. :lookaroun

While I really hope this does happen at WDW's Pirates, I'm not so sure that we should reserve ourselves to expectations like this.

The article says
More fun on the way: Disney chairman ________ Cook revealed that a film titled Jungle Cruise, after another popular Disneyland attraction, is in development. And animatronic figures of Knightley's and Bloom's characters are expected to join the newly installed Depp character in Disneyland's Pirates ride next year.

It announces that the Jungle Cruise is in development. He then says it is expected for the two characters to be added.

You all know me enough to already know that I believe that even a brief expectation could mean good news, but lets keep our reservations on this one until we find out how successful WDW's revamped Pirates becomes.

I hope that it does well so we can see some sort of story adjustment with the two other characters. One thing that I think made the movie so amazing was the fact the while it was supposed to be centered on Will and Elizabeth, Jack stole the show. In the new ride and the new movie, he does the same. He is a marketable character for Disney, and that is a very good thing.

If the adjustments come, I see Will inside of the treasure room with Elizabeth under his arm while Jack is sitting on his throne. Earlier in the ride, I could see Will swordfighting one of the Pirates that is attacking the port (In the movie-Port Royal). Elizabeth would be on the Wicked Wench yelling for help from the bow while Barbossa was yelling at her while yelling at his pirates to attack the port in various ways, while slapping insults at Elizabeth.

Oh, and maybe they can add Elizabeth being held over the shoulder of one of the pirates (also be a nice way to add the two comic relief pirates). As for William, I don't know where to put him.

The over the shoulder idea is a good one, then they could add the two pirates from the first movie with the screwey eye and the fat bossyone holding her.

i think they should put will swordfighting jack in the blacksmith shop cause thats what happened in the movie. they could also move the donkey into there as well.

as for elizabeth, they should put her on the wicked wench as said before

Personally, I'm hesitant about adding *more* characters from the movie to the ride. Why not just redo the whole thing, then?

And if they b@stardize Jungle Cruise because of the movie... :fork: *EDITED FOR MY OWN GOOD*

I don't think it looks ANYTHING like the character. I don't remember Barbossa wearing a blue suit in the film, but I could be wrong about that.

He didn't have to, the ride is supposed to fit into the film's universe, and that means that it doesn't have to be exactly like the movie, because the ride is supposed to have a seperate story from the movie, just some of the same characters.

For the record, I loved both Country Bears and Haunted Mansion movie. Also I think it is great that there will be a National Treasure 2. I just saw the 1st last night. I'm all for adding Will Turner but especially for adding Keira Knightley!!!

Oh I know and it certainly isn't something I'm upset about, but that AA really looks kinda weird compared to the Sparrow AA's. His costuming looks pretty much exactly like it does in the film and Barbossa's looks nothing like it. Again, not a big deal at all to me

This could be achieved very simply.

According to Jason Surrell's book, there are a pair of swordfighting animatronics in the Paris version of the ride, conducting a very realistic and impressive swordfight while a maiden looks on.

So...re-create said swordfight, only with Will and another pirate dueling while Elizabeth looks on!

Well, they could hardly change Jack's outfit. Can you imagine the outrage?

Also, the addition of the swordfight would be awesome and a great way to incorporate Will and Elizabeth. Whereabouts in the attraction could this go?

There are a couple of spaces in the attraction that having nothing in them right now. If they wanted to, they could use those spots.

As far as I know, Jack never changes his clothing style. We don't yet know about Barbossa because he is only seen in one outfit. We will have to wait for the second film to see if he changes clothing when he returns.
